The pink lagoon and crocodiles - Julio and Luis were very good. Muy perfecto. They made sure we were able to see everything and explained anything we did not understand. Aldaldo was able to explain in Spanish slow enough that I could pick up on. The water was beautiful. The crocodile exhibit was so good although I was not expecting to be in there feeding them. So cool. The cenote was amazing and the food exceptional

Really recommended, but the transportation should be improved - The pink lagoon and the Rio Lagartos are amazing. Really recommended, as well as the lunch. The crocodile farm is nice but I felt sorry for the small crocodiles that were moved from hands to hands to take pictures with the tourists. I didn’t like the bus transportation, the bus was really small and there was not enough space for the legs between the seats. The travel is about 3 hours and the same for the return, so having to stay in such a small bus is really tough. The guide provided only 1 small bottle of water for the full day, they should give an additional one for each passenger.

Good Tour - Let me start by saying that this trip is a long drive (3.5 hours each way/ 7 hours total). I took this tour out of Playa Del Carmen. Our guide/driver, Genaro, was great. Never a dull moment throughout the whole trip. Along the way we made our first stop at cenote Hubiku, here they have bathrooms, dressing rooms, showers, tequila tasting and a buffet style restaurant which is where we had lunch during this trip (the food was really good). I would give this tour 5 stars but feel that there are some things that could be improved. - I don't know if it was an off day or something, but it seemed to me like for whatever reason they were running late. They picked me up on time but after my pick up we went to get a family that started complaining because they had been waiting for more than an hour. Their driver was late so we had to go pick them up which in turn made us late. We waited at a gas station for the other vans to arrive and people began to be moved around because of different tours which was fine but someone made the decision to take the cooler out of our van which delayed us even longer since we had to stop somewhere else to pick up another (keep in mind that out of the 3-4 different tours going out that day to different destinations, we were the ones traveling the farthest). This delay I believe negatively affected the rest of trip. - The first stop at the cenote was nice but we were there almost 2 hours when 1 hour - 1 hour 20 mins would've been enough. Keep in mind the trip is to Las Coloradas not to Hubiku. After the cenote there's still a good 2 hr drive before reaching the destination. When we arrived it was 2pm but technically it's 3pm since we're so close to the divide between EST and CST time zones. I mention this because it affects the position of the Sun (especially in January) which in turn affected how vibrant the different colors of the water looked. In short the lakes were a pale pink color and not the way they're pictured. - When we arrived at Las Coloradas we were met by a 'tour guide' that was going to explain to us why the water is pink. I could not understand a word, I don't know if he was speaking too low, too fast, or just not enunciating the words completely but I just gave up listening and started taking pictures. I speak English and Spanish fluently so there was no language barrier from my part. Another issue that came up that caught me by surprise was that once there we were told the admission fee into the pink lakes would be an out of pocket expense when the description on here says it's already included. - Lastly, I had read in other reviews that many went on a boat tour of Rio Lagartos and was somewhat disappointed to learn that we weren't doing that, I don't think it's in the description but thought it would've made the trip more worthwhile. So we headed to the 'croc farm' but we were informed on the way there that nope we weren't going there because the place had been flooded due to the recent hurricanes. But instead we met with the same people at a roadside exhibit they had set up for us. In my opinion it was a good tour, I had fun. But, driving 7 hours total to spend 45 minutes looking at pale pink lakes + the 15 minutes we spent at the little roadside croc exhibit didn't really justify it. My advice, try arriving to the lakes when the sun is at its highest, hire a better lake guide, if the croc farm is closed or there are any changes to the advertised itinerary let the client know ahead of time in case its a big reason of why they want to go on this trip. Genaro was the best he gets 5 stars. Anyways, hope this helps.

Wish it was pinker - It was nice the tour guide Luigi was very knowledgeable. I didnt get to see the brightness of the pink color due to the sun and the salt but it was some.

Great Tour to las coloradas - We really enjoyed the tour a lot. Las coloradas and the rio lagarto were great! Beer, water and tequilla were included, we had a small group and the guides were really friendly. The included buffet lunch was okay. We didn't liked the cenote too much, we already visited more impressive once. But there was a little tequilla shop which was nice. In my opinion the crocodile farm was not necessary. There are a lot of animals with only little space to live in and it is animal cruelty to touch crocodiles and hand them around for pictures.

Was sub par - Trip was just ok. The tour guide was friendly but I chose an English speaking tour and there was very little translation. The entire pink salt ponds (not sea) was mediocre, yes they are pink but you could not get close for pictures and the entire tour was about 45min and zero English translation. Also was just very long drive that I was not expecting. Would not go again.

Not what we hoped for. - Didn't get what we paid for, but the tour was ok. If I knew what I know now after having done the tour I would not book again.

So so - Super disappointed with the guide of yesterday’s tour. He seemed very disinterested, was sleeping all the way there and back, and just left us at places, to go to chat. He hardly provided any information about the places, maybe a little at the beginning. We also drove for over 3h with refusing to stop for a toilet break. Also the bus was super small, with no space for legs, I had to ask twice before I could go sit in the first row of sears where there was more space. Super disappointed over the guide.

Driver was over an hour late and activities were swapped with no warning. - I would have said 3 stars average but the driver was over an hour late and it ruined the whole morning. First the bad... driver was late so we were picked up over an hour late by someone else and taken to a gas station and made to swap busses again there to correct driver. We were NOT taken to the cenote or croc farm as promised. We were taken on a boat ride in Rio Lagartos instead. The river ride was not bad but it was not what we were promised. We should have been notified before we left that the tour changed (due to hurricane damage to the croc farm not sure why no cenote). Take snacks as the box lunch left much to be desired. On the upside our tour guide Frank was VERY personable and helped take amazing photos. He himself would get 5 stars. The food at the restaurant was outstanding as well.
