Staff/and crew made this an unforgettable experience - We had a tremendous experience made all the better by the staff! Jose kept stopping to show us marina life we would have completely missed and the female diving member (sorry, I can't recall your name) helped my young daughter several times. The ride there and back was smooth thanks to the expertise of the crew.

Wonderful Experience with Diving! - The whole experience was amazing!! Gaston really took care of my family and helped us out in every step of the way. We were picked up by the Pacific Coast Dive Center transportation from our hotel and driven to their site. We were given detailed instructions on what to expect and their hospitality was great! Everyone was very helpful and kind. They had bilingual tour guides, so that was a great help. Everyone helped us put on the wetsuits and the fins. We then went to the pick up point and took a taxi boat to the actual boat. We had to drive for a little bit and they explained the instructions for diving. My sister was really nervous so Gaston brought her back to the boat and she was allowed to snorkel while my fiancé and I dove. Once we reached, they helped us put on the tanks and slowly led us down. I had a hard time equalizing my ears but Gaston was very understanding and carefully led me down. We saw soooo many fish!! It was wonderful and Gaston took lots of pictures for us that we purchased at the end. Highly recommend bc we spent a lot of time with the tour guides and they did everything to make us comfortable and informed.

Nice day out - Great trip and great instructors! Ocean was a little choppy but we saw some cool fish and sea life. Next time I’d bring anti nausea medication and a lunch.

Wonderful first time snorkeling - Lovely time going on our first snorkeling trip! The dive center staff were incredibly patient and helpful. They also helped us identify the animals afterwards! Also saw a beautiful variety of fish and eels

Snorkel trip - Our experience was okay. But I thought the boat was too crowded and that the way they tried to drop off and pick up divers in different spots than the snorkelers was awkward and added a lot of unnecessary waiting time for snorkelers both in and out of the water. Staff were very attentive. Snacks were healthy, but minimal.

Not a great snorkeling experience! - While the staff on the boat was friendly and helpful, the overall experience was underwhelming to say the least. This trip was really not meant for snorkelers, but for scuba divers who were prioritize over people snorkeling. There was a lot of sitting and waiting for the divers to be prepped and put in the water before those of us who were snorkeling. Some of the equipment was not the best. My mask and snorkel leaked constantly though they gave me another which the snorkel was better but the mask still leaked and I had to keep taking it off and draining the sea water. I know they don’t control what you’ll see under the water but the visibility and very rough choppy water made the experience disappointing. I feel if they’re going to advertise it as a snorkeling trip it should be done separately from those scuba diving. Not recommended for snorkeling!

Terrible snorkeling experience - lots of seasickness and very long trip due to oversold boat - This was our family's last full day in Costa Rica and we highly regret taking our Tamarindo hotel's recommendation to do this excursion. We signed up for snorkeling and were told it was "about a 4 hour trip" but instead was a 7.5 hour round trip from our hotel. We only got 40 good minutes of snorkeling out of it but my daugther was so seasick by that point that she couldn't even enjoy that part of it. The boat was very oversold - 25 snorkelers and about 25 scuba divers. This created lots of waiting (especially to drop off all of the groups of scuba divers at their stops). The water was very choppy - made even worse by having to stop in lots of choppy waters to drop off the various groups of scuba divers. My teenage kids who are both good swimmers and have lots of experience in boating were seasick and threw up (there were at least 4 others on the trip who threw up as well). Shame on us for not preparing with dramamine but our hotel hadn't warned us it would be so choppy with so much waiting. The first snorkeling spot was good with lots of fish - the second was bad (I think this was probably a good scuba dive site but incredibly choppy surface waters and very little fish to be seen).
