Great guides, beautiful scenery - We really enjoyed our horseback ride. Ronald and Hector were fantastic guides, with amazing knowledge of the flora and fauna surrounding us. The views of the volcano were breathtaking. Ronald helpfully took our phone to take pictures at picturesque moments. We have great photos now to cherish. Mau was our guide for the waterfall and he was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All in all, a very high level of service from Jacamar. Thank you!

8 am morning horseback to see volcano - Our adventure was booked the night before through our hotel. We were just two minutes away from the Jacamar tour center. There are bathrooms and a nice porch for resting and enjoying the pet doggies while you get ready for your zip line or tour. We were the only ones so it was a private ride with trained and maintained horses. All tack was in excellent shape and helmets were provided. Miguel- our excellent guide also had rain ponchos for us and to keep the horses tack dry when a quick downpour came. We had a delightful ride with gorgeous views of the volcano and the la fortuna region. Our tour was not on this list. It was simply a 2-3 hour ride to see the volcano. We are experienced riders and enjoyed racing back up and down the hills when the horses knew the way. You don’t need to speak Spanish but the horses think you do, so you must at least be able to comfortably use the command “alto” I would return here again for another horseback riding tour but I am too scared for the canopy tours. They did look “safe” and secure here as far as I could see from the trailheads.
