Playa Fantasia is a remote beach, reachable only by sea, featuring expansive jungle, coral formations, white sand, and clear blue waters. Pristine and teeming with marine and wildlife such as Monkeys, Scarlet Macaws, Turtles, and of course, our rescued animals.
Included in your package is a fresh meal prepared by our private chef at Playa Fantasia, along with a bar stocked with fresh Pina Coladas, margaritas, mojitos, beer, soda, and water. Fresh fruits will be served throughout the entire journey.
Once at Playa Fantasia, you’ll have access to boogie boards, paddleboards, surfboards, hammocks, and beach loungers.
This journey is an excellent substitute for Tortuga Island if you want to steer clear of the crowds. It offers a wonderful brief yet immersive experience, apt for families with children, couples, and singles.
Return home at sunset.

Our office is located 100 meters south of Automercado in Playa Herradura. 10 minutes from Jaco and 1 km from Los Suenos Marriott Resort. We offer free transportation from Jaco, or guests can park securely at our office.

Family with young child would recommend! - Very enjoyable day with a crew that attended to our family. Traveling with a 6 year old can feel dicey on some excursions but we were so impressed and happy with our experience. It was a pleasant surprise having the amount of delicious food for lunch, drinks and beach time at Playa Fantasia. It really made the experience feel exclusive to our tour size of 17 people. It was an amazing way to end a vacation in Jaco!

Best tour in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 - Fabulous afternoon with friends! Amazing lunch and a skilled captain on rough seas. So much fun!
The 16 passengers were the only ones on this secluded beach making it incomparable to the multitudes of tour groups going to Tortuga!!

Best day Ever!! - This was the perfect tour to end our trip to Costa Rica. They picked us up at Jaco. Once on the Catamaran it was so relaxing and the crew give us a welcome drink. After arriving on the Island you could swim to the beach or take the little boat. The area is set up just adorable with hammocks , chairs and umbrellas. Then they have a really cool dining area set for lunch which was amazing! The Captain and his crew grilled us steak and chicken kabobs. The garlic and butter potatoes and salad was perfect. Open bar the entire time. Very nice! We explored the beach and then relaxed. We really enjoyed watching all the little crabs in the sand 🦀 and the maccaw Parrots flying over head. The ride back at Sunset was stunning! There really are no words! What a magical day! You won't be disappointed. Pura Vida!

Fun Day! - We had a great time! I had seen reviews that recommended this be your last day, we did that. It was a great, relaxing day with a beautiful last sunset. Crew was great, rides to and from our Air BnB community and the food and drinks were all excellent! We wish it had been longer.

Worth it! - I went with my husband and 3 yr old. We all had a great time. Amazing staff and the meal on the beach was so good. The hermit crabs were a big highlight. Highly recommend!

You have to do this - I went for my birthday with my boyfriend. It was amazing . Not too crowded and you’re allowed to jump off the roof of the boat which is awesome! Everyone sung my happy birthday which was so sweet. Staff was so helpful and sweet. Food was great. We had roasted potatoes , salad & chicken kabobs which was great. We played volleyball, did the banana boat (definitely do this) & we explored a beach near by. You get plenty of free time on beach as well for swim or just relaxing. I 10 out of 10 recommend this!!!! It is a must do! Also get the banana boat!

Fair experience; nothing extraordinary, particularly under private charter - Crew was friendly, food was fabulous, drinks were just OK. It did feel like a cattle call. Board boat, 40ish straight-line cruise around harbor point to beach, unload, have a drink and swim, some activities, eat, a short stint at beach, load boat, drive straight back to harbor. You should expect the actual cruise to be about 30-45 min shorter than the full time because of extra time allotted to taxying out and loading/unloading the catamaran.
It was very unfortunate that the catamaran netting was ripping and clearly worn, to the point of not allowing viewing or relaxing on the net. Incredibly disappointing for the fee paid for a private tour, particularly since there was no child pricing (and we had 11 children). Further, a family member mistakenly left a hat on the catamaran, told the crew exactly where it was immediately when he was dropped off by boat taxi on beach. The crew had to go back to the catamaran, regardless. My family member had no issues waiting until the crew returned and asked if they could please grab the hat before coming back to the beach. However, upon the crews' return, they told him he could come back at 7am if he wanted to retrieve the hat. Again, this was a private charter, we did not require or ask of any special trips back to catamaran, and we didn't ask the crew to go searching for an item - we knew and reported exactly where it was located. I had higher expectations.

Abrasive and Unfortunate - Was accused halfway through the excursion of not paying for 2 people in our group by Randall. He was extremely hostile with me when I tried to figure out what the issue was. He told me this was “very bad” and insinuated that we would do something like that on purpose. Once I brought him all the receipts, he told me to just go “enjoy” and he was “speaking to the office”, I told him that we could not because I wanted to solve the problem. He did not offer up any apology or information after he figured out that he was wrong.
When we got in the transport to go home, they told me they had a gift for me. They took us to the office and told me to pick out a shirt… so it was clear they knew they made a mistake and instead of hearing an apology they just offered me a shirt?
But, I’m sure like all of the other bad reviews he will blame me for doing something wrong rather than taking accountability for his rude and extremely abrasive attitude towards me.
This excursion was the opposite of pura vida. Don’t waste your money, they will just accuse you of not paying anyway.
