Into the Heart of the Forest

As a wildlife photographer with a deep-seated love for Africa, I am always on the lookout for experiences that allow me to connect with nature in a meaningful way. The Forest Walk with Picnic and Wildlife Tour in Plettenberg Bay was one such opportunity that I couldn’t resist. The promise of exploring a private protected forest reserve, learning about the cultural and historical uses of the forest, and the chance to photograph rare wildlife was too enticing to pass up.

Our guide, Sandile, was a fountain of knowledge and passion. As we embarked on our journey through the forest, he pointed out the towering hardwood trees, the vibrant fungi, and the delicate orchids that adorned our path. Sandile’s knowledge extended beyond the forest, as he shared insights into the conservation efforts at Tenikwa.
