We meet 30 minutes before departure. Our office is located on Hobie Beach at the bottom of Meeding Street (adjacent to the parking area, next to the showers). All equipment needed is supplied.
An exciting 20-minute boat ride takes you to the colony where over 6000 Cape Fur Seals are waiting for you. Time to jump in and have some fun with these playful and very curious creatures. The guides are with you in the water during the entire experience, making sure you are having a great time. The swim lasts 30 minutes and then a fun, scenic, boat ride takes you back to the beach for a shower. The guides will take photos of the trip that you can download for FREE on our website

Great outing! - We did t know much about seals or Plett, but this looked like fun.
From the start we were very impressed with the care the staff took to get us fitted with equipment and in instructing us how to use it. They all knew a lot about the seals and it was obvious that they care for the seals and the environment in general.
The ride to the seal area is about twenty minutes, and you have about half an hour with the seals. They are very curious and we enjoyed being in the middle of them. One member of our group was not a strong swimmer and the guide ensured he had a floatation device and checked in with him often.
Two bonuses - the guide takes a load of photos which are freely shared.
The other was the appearance of a group of bottlenose dolphins that swam across our bow on the way back. It was great luck to see them and I was very impressed that the captain didn’t chase them!
I highly recommend this trip.

Brilliant Experience - Brilliant trip with Plett Seal Adventures, Chris and Ash are real pros and ensured we had a great and safe experience. Ideally you need to be confident swimming in the ocean & love being out on the sea.The guys provide flotation aids which allow weaker swimmers to enter the water. The boat journey is quite rough but exhilarating - you can just come and watch others swim and you will also see plenty of wildlife from the boat. No need to worry about the cold water, wet suits enabled to stay lovely and warm as Ash says” it’s like your own jacuzzi!!”. The actual swim with seals is incredible and all captured on a go-pro by the guide. We downloaded all the images the same night! Great service, they treat you like VIPs…
Avoid the bigger seal trips they just have too many on board. Plett Seal Adventures provide a totally amazing experience - get ready for the beach landing on the way home!!! Great Fun

The stuff that life long memories are made off - My husband wasn’t keen when I booked this - but hasn’t stopped talking about it since and was the last out of the water .loved every minute and would happily do it again .Ash was an incredible guide and made the whole experience very special and memorable

Excellent Tour of the Seals! - Excellent tour of the seals at Robberg Nature Reserve - the boat can be a bit bumpy with the choppy waves, so remember to take some motion sickness tablets before hand!
There were a lot of seal pups that we swam with and the guide, Jade was very informative and had taken lots of photos of us whilst we were there.
I'd recommend this as an activity to do whilst visiting Plettenberg Bay!

Amazing Experience and Highly Recommended - What an amazing experience. The seals are so playful and inquisitive! They aren’t scary at all and the water really isn’t that cold. Dwight was a great tour guide and I’d recommend for anyone to do this trip.

Unforgettable experience - The office is right on the beach and there is good parking. Wetsuits in all sizes are available and we were always warm in them.
It is about 15 minutes by boat to Robberg Nature Reserve.
Our guide Ash and our skipper Chris give you all the information with humor and good humor and you get instructions on how to behave around the seal colony. They are curious, a small seal kept pulling on my red fins and was very playful. The neoprene gives you a lot of buoyancy, you really just need to float quietly in the water and watch, the animals swim and jump around you. Sometimes you get nudged.
Ash is very keen to ensure that everyone or each group gets great photos and videos, so it is not necessary to bring a camera yourself, you can download the beautiful souvenir photos from the homepage the next day at no cost.
We felt very safe and well looked after and it was an extraordinary experience to swim with the seals, thank you Ash and Chris!

MUST DO!! - Chris and his team were great. They were very professional and the equipment was in great shape. The day we went, the water was the clearest they had seen it in over a decade so we took a small detour to see a reef that was not usually visible from the boat before going to swim with the seals. We weren't sure what to expect but jumping in the water with thousands of seal pups swimming around you and playing with you was an experience we will never forget. I'd highly recommend this.

11 out of 10!!! - Best experience ever!!! Both Ash and Chris were wonderful. You do not only get to swim with seals, you get to learn about them too. Ash makes you feel safe in the water at all times and even takes amazing pictures of your experience. This is a fun activity to do with your children too. Highly recommend.
