Bansko-Melnik-Rila monastery-Sofia
The Melnik Pyramids - 9:00 AM. Hotel check-out. Transfer to Melnik, the smallest town in Bulgaria, with fewer than 186 inhabitants. Melnik is known for its red wine, particularly a unique variety called “Wide Melnik Leaf.” South of Melnik is the fortress of Alexius Slav, a nobleman from the Asen dynasty who ruled the Rhodope region independently for over 20 years during a period of internal and external crisis in the Bulgarian kingdom.
