Tortuguero made easy with Green Tours - We met Danny while parking in La Pavona. What I really liked is that he didn’t try to hard sell me. He told me look at my reviews and call me. Reviews were excellent. Danny is a master at customer service and communication. We did a Turtle walk and canoe tour with him. Both were great. Dino our guide for the turtle walk was super patient and let us stay until the momma turtle went back to the water. Arturo our guide for the canoe tour was knowledgeable and funny. Danny checked in with us regularly to make sure everything went smoothly. Outstanding service and experience.

Tours with Dani and his Team - Met Rachel at the Dock of La Provana. She set up with Dani at the tortuguero village. We took 3 tours with his team. The entire team was awesome. Dani took us on a Canoe tour- exercise and sit seeing. Boa- took us on a walk through the reserve. Very knowledgeable about the Wildflife and Habitat. Speaks multiple languages. Jonathan took us on a turtle tour. Again very knowledgeable about the entire process and we got so see a Green Sea Turtle lay eggs and go back in the water. Arturo took us in the hike to Cerro. He broth his telescope so we can see birds and monkeys up close and personal. Super Nice and hardworking team.

The Best Turtle Experience - I had a fantastic experience. I was going to do the night tour but Danny recommended me to do the turtle tour and it was the best idea! Lily our guide took us through the jungle and the beach until we found the turtle, we could see how it laid eggs, covered them and camouflaged. Both Danny and Lily were excellent guides and I recommend them!

Amazing opportunity to see the turtles life cycle - We had informative guides and a very small group! They catered the trip for us. Thank you Ruth for an amazing time! She made sure our 7 year old got a front row view of everything!

Alexis Torres - brilliant turtle tour guide - Our family of 5 from the UK went on the night tour to see the turtles laying eggs with Alexis Torres as our guide. What an unbelievable experience. Occasionally you are reminded how small we really are in the wider scheme of things and witnessing a mother turtle laying so many eggs, spending the next hour plus covering them over with sand to protect them from predators before returning to be engulfed by the sea and swimming effortlessly away was one of those moments that you think you will only ever see on television. Well replace David Attenborough with Alexis (who was just as amazing) and you have an unforgettable experience. Alexis’ deep knowledge and clear love of turtles, and all other animals and plants, was a real joy to behold. Nothing was too much trouble. His deep respect for nature extended to helping set up the current system which now protects the beaches from hunters of turtles. You can only be impressed by someone who so deeply cares about the world in which we live and what we are leaving behind for future generations and is such a good communicator. Thank you Alexis for a once in a lifetime experience. May you keep doing such great work.

Worth it to see Turtle laying Eggs - Saw an approximately 25 year old green turtle lay 100 + eggs. She digs a deep hole on the beach and lays more than 100 + eggs. It’s very amazing to see. It’s worth it to see it because it only happens at a certain time of the year. Kind of pricey at $30 a person but since it’s a very special occasion it’s cool. They don’t let you take any pics.

Good tour - We have chosen this tour company to support local guides. Our guide spoke good English, answered our questions. But was not much initiative. Also the information about turtles was basic so I wish he could learn more about the subject. Tour was not at the beach of the National Park but the other way. You have to wear dark clothes and bring no cameras but can have a flash light to guide your way to the beach. At the beach you can use only red light. We waited for an hour until we could see the turtle laying eggs as it changed spot couple times. Some members of our group and other groups were falling asleep right at the beach. So I would recommend to have coffee before a tour. Also bring umbrella or rain jacket. In total we got around 15 mins to observe the turtle and her laying eggs. Our guide made it the most convenient for us to have a good look.

Non entusiastic guide for turtle tour - We made a turtle tour with one of the guides of asoprotours (unfortunately we don't remember the name). It was the most NON entusiastic guides we ever met. We had a lot of difficulties understanding him (English and pronounciation). He also did not seem to want to answer our questions during the walk. Anyway we were able to see a green sea turtle laying eggs, which was a great experience. We would really recommend doing a turtle tour but definitely NOT with that association!
