Known for its hospitality and for being the location of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand beginning WWI, Sarajevo contains the famous Bascarsija bazaar, and elegant architecture by the Austria-Hungarian monarchy, as well as several traditional restaurants and coffee shops.
