Founded shortly after Epidamnus – Dyrrachium, Apollonia quickly rose to prominence as one of the most notable cities in the Adriatic basin, frequently mentioned among the 30 cities sharing its name in antiquity. The city was part of the Taulantii political community and was widely recognized as Apollonia of Illyria.
- Gjirokaster - Gjirokastër is a town and UNESCO World Heritage site in Southeastern Albania. Known as the City of Stones, it is an ancient Ottoman-era city celebrated for its traditional stone houses built on a hillside. This cultural city was declared a UNESCO site in 2005, highlighting its architecture as one of the most representative of the Ottoman era.
- Zekate House - The Zekate House is a magnificent example of the typical tower-house, belonging to the wealthiest families in Gjirokastra in the 19th century. It was owned by Beqir Zeko, a general administrator of Ali Pasha, and was constructed between 1811 and 1812.

- Bylis - Byllis or Bullis was an ancient city and the principal settlement of the Illyrian tribe of the Bylliones, traditionally located in southern Illyria. During the Hellenistic period, the city was part of either Illyria or Epirus. In Roman times, it was included within Epirus Nova, in the province of Macedonia. The remains of Byllis are located northeast of Vlorë, 25 kilometers from the sea in Hekal, Fier County, Albania. Byllis was designated as an archaeological park on April 7, 2003, by the government of Albania.
