Instead, we support the small winemakers who are the heart and soul of the Hunter Valley, often overlooked in favor of big names despite their incredible hidden gems. Be prepared to be surprised and delighted as we introduce you to winemakers and cellar doors you may not have known about.
• Hunter Valley Smelly Cheese Shop - Hunter Valley boasts numerous local cheese shops and dairies. It offers the finest local, Australian, and imported artisan cheeses, gourmet delights, cured meats, and accompaniments, including takeaway cheese platters. There are plenty of cheeses and condiments available to fill your shopping cart. This visit to the cheese shop may include product samples for you to try, but it is not a paid tasting.
• Hunter Valley Chocolate Company - We visit one of the many chocolate shops in the Hunter Valley. You’ll have time to browse the shop and make any purchases. Often, the shop provides complimentary samples of their products for you to try.
• The Garden Cellars - We stop by the Garden Cellars to experience boutique wines and locally made spirits like gins and vodkas. This is your last chance to purchase any alcohol or last-minute gifts.
• Pokolbin - We offer complimentary pick-up from your Pokolbin accommodation. If you are outside the local Pokolbin area, you may need to pay a pick-up fee or meet the tour bus at the Hunter Valley Roche Estate on McDonalds Road, Pokolbin.
