The best of them all? Ivanhoe Winery - Spent a couple of days in the Hunter Valley exploring the wineries, gardens and food. Ivanhoe Winery was the best one. I know wine and have been through many in Europe, so I want good straight knowledge on the wine, and entertained not bored by all the crap that many deliver from a script. Our man Danny was brilliant, straight to the point and guts of the wine’s character so I could dive into to the best of the selections. His stories and delivery were point perfect. A genuine raconteur with a great sense of humour and gentle manner. We stayed for a couple of hours, enjoyed the exceptional wines the cheeses and the history and atmosphere of a truly unique winery amongst the corporate dross of the many other wineries in the Hunter. Ivanhoe is a winery driven by the same passion I’ve experienced in some of Europes best boutique vineyards it’s a credit to the owners and staff who love the craft. Danny is the front of house every vineyard needs to bring the experience to life and not bore you to death. Thank you to all at Ivanhoe for an entertaining and wonderful experience. Walked away with some excellent wines. Shall be ordering more

Wine tasting - We had the best experience at Ivanhoe. Everything from the wines to the sitting to the activities for kids made for a memorable time. Special shout-out to Danny for his recommendations, easygoing nature and good humor with the kids.

Must do - Fantastic tasting. Wines are great and cheese platter had a great selection. Only downside was going late in the afternoon in summer it was very hot on their deck.

Best time at Ivanhoe wines! - We had the best time at Ivanhoe wines. Danny was our wine expert and he was the best! Having never been to a winery before he gave great recommendations to us and we had a lovely afternoon!

Ask for Danny - What could be better than having a wine tasting booked for 10am on a Monday???... Well having Danny as your sommelier. We had the VIP treatment with extensive knowledge of multiple wines and an excellent cheese board. Danny with his cheeky humour made us feel like we were a home away from home. We would rate Ivanhoe premium wine tastings and ask for Danny if you want a laugh and excellent knowledge! We have bought a few bottles to take home and hope to open one after we get married to remember our trip, of which our hunter valley wine tasting was one of our favourites thanks to Danny.

A must do - Being club members for years. Club prices ensure Ivanhoe is competitive with other hunter wineries. There is not an Ivanhoe wine we don't like, reds or white. The more expensive, wines certainly pack in more flavour...as you'd hope for $$$. Sitting on the deck over looking vineyard is a wonderful view, though when hot, the air-conditioned " hut" is preferred. Members cheese salami plate is excellent..,don't need a lunch. Staff have always is attentive, knowledgeable. Danny has joined the team with his extensive Hunter wine knowledge. Best to reserve tasting.

The most prestigious place! - Hands down always the BEST experience 🙌🏼 great service from Danny and the team and generous in their tastings. So much so hubby's a member! The views are also exceptional and open to tour on your own. Cheese platter generous too! Thanks guys xo

Great wine tasting experience! - Nice view where the wines could be tasted! Excellent explanation with the wines and excellent advice. In addition to the six wines, we got two additional wines. Our guide was a very friendly man with a good sense of humor. Unfortunately we could not bring more wine because of our flight. Delicious cheeses and snacks. A super hospitality and a beautiful experience.
