After the classroom session is complete we head out along the Akamas Coastline where you will experience breathing underwater for the first time. Your Instructor will give you a full briefing about the skills that you will practice along with basic diving safety procedures.

Once in the water, you will practice several basic scuba skills with your Instructor in shallow water (shallow enough for you to be able to stand up if needed) then go on a dive in the crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon to a maximum depth of 6 meters. Arriving in Latchi from Polis Chrysochous you will find our dive centre on the right hand side it is a 3 storey turquoise building, there is a large car park opposite.

Really patient staff, great fun! - Promised my two older teens we’d go Scuba Diving on our hols this year. Chose the Discover Scuba Diving for the three of us (a 19yr old, 17yr old and me 40+ 🤣) and the husband can’t do any diving because of a health condition but was allowed to join us on the boat for a small fee. Clare was fab at explaining everything and was super patient when my mask kept on filling with water while also trying to teach the other two who were under the water! Mask changed and adventures begin, taught a few key skills and off for a swim under the water. Great experience and all the team seem to work like a family which is great to see. Loads of support to learn and a very professional and friendly bunch! Thanks guys! X

Wonderful first dive! - I felt very lucky that I chose this for my very first dive. Everyone from the Latchi Watersport Centre was so friendly and helpful: David sent emails explaining the delay due to weather and made sure the safety and availability; the three divemasters (Same, DJ, and Howie) were also wonderful. Very patient with rookie like me. I was very clumsy and but still managed to have a little happy trip underwater. Thank you very much for such lovely day!

Amazing!!! - What an amazing experience! It was a great team, I felt safe throughout and the blue lagoon offered a great perspective of sea life. I would do it all again. Thank you for such a great time.

The highlight of our holiday! - We had a great day at the blue lagoon. Our son did a private discover scuba diving with Dave while we snorkeled in the lagoon. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Our son had a great experience and plans to pursue certification in scuba. Highly recommend Latchi Watersports, you won’t be disappointed!

Use this shop to book your next dive - George my guide and Anna who helped me book my trip were absolutely fabulous. As this was my first certified dive they spent the time with me to make sure I always felt comfortable. They went my speed and helped me within moments notice. They all spoke English and were mostly from the UK This place I cannot recommend enough and am very thankful I found it. If your brand new or experienced this is definitely the place to go!! The trip was amazing and I'm happy to get these two dives after my certification under my belt.

Superb try dive - Fantastic try dive session with Latching water sports. I dived a long time ago but my 18 yr old son had not. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the basic skills tuition was great. Mark the instructor was fantastic and took us on a great dive around the blue lagoon. Excellent prices and also did Forces discount. Will definitely be coming back for a PADI open water course next year. Thanks for a great introduction to diving for my son.

Discovery diving for teenagers - Visited 30.08.22
2 of my teenage children enjoyed the discovery scuba diving with Latchi Watersports. Safety is not an issue here and I highly commend them for that. I was reassured that my kids were in very safe hands whilst out in the water with their diving instructor.
This is the second time my children have done this and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We arrived an hour early than booked because my third child was feeling a bit anxious about the diving and we hoped someone might talk through what to expect, in the hope she would feel reassured. Unfortunately there was a rather rude blonde sat at reception when we arrived, who appeared dissatisfied that we had arrived early. She did eventually get on the same page as us, but not before the kids also picked up on her negative attitude. Aside from that individual, the remainder of the team seemed very pleasant and most importantly, the 2 children who did dive felt comfortable and safe with their instructor. We would likely use Latchi Watersports again for diving.
