The POLIGNANO kayak trip is a fascinating tour, not physically demanding and therefore also suitable for those who have never gone kayaking. Included in the price is the SEA KAYAK COURSE FOR BEGINNERS guided by a 2nd level sea kayak instructor of the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation. On the way we will show you hidden caves and ravines, all to be explored! After putting on the life jackets and entering our kayaks, we will be ready to sail southwards alongside the splendid and very high coast of Polignano. We will pass by the famous beach of Lama Monachile, we will visit Arcivescovado Cave, Palazzese Cave and will swim into the clear water of the Sotto Favale Cave. This trip gives great emotions and allows you to navigate the blue waters of the coast of Polignano looking at the very high rocky coast that separates the city from the sea.

• ADVERSE WEATHER: In case of adverse weather conditions, we reserve the right to cancel the excursion up to 1 hour before departure. Communication will be via email. For this reason, please always check your email inbox for new messages. There is of course a full refund of the ticket.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Our excursions are made to be carried out by anyone, especially by newbies. The distances are relatively short and no special skills or strength are required. Nevertheless, good physical fitness and a weight strictly less than 100kg are required. The instructor reserves the right to verify the weight of the participants and to prevent the departure to those who weigh 100kg or more. No refund is provided in this case.
• CHILDREN: The minimum age to participate in the excursions is 6. Up to the age of 12 children must go in a double kayak with an accompanying adult. From the age of 12 there are no limits. The adult accompanying the child in the kayak must have more than good physical shape that allows him to ride a double kayak (longer and heavier) alone. The cost of the ticket for a child is lower than for an adult. For this reason, the instructor reserves the right to check his/her identity document before departure, which the adult is therefore required to bring with him/her. In the event that an age other than the one declared at the time of booking or incompatible with participation in the excursion is found, the instructor reserves the right to request an addition to the cost of the ticket or to prevent departure. No refund is provided in the latter case.
• WHAT TO BRING: sunscreen, small bottled water (to be put under the rubber band in front of the kayak seat), Anti-nausea medication (to be taken before the excursion if you suffer from seasickness)
• CLOTHING: swimsuit, T-shirt, rock shoes (closed shoes that can be wet alternatively, slippers and flip-flops not recommended), hat, sunglasses with safety cord
• PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Non-bulky valuables such as wallets, cellphones and car keys will be kept by the guide while a small bag or backpack can be stored in the kayak bins or in the guide’s car. Be careful because in the locker the backpack could get wet and for what is stored in the guide car we are not responsible for any theft.
• IMPATIENCE IN THE USE OF KAYAK: the initial start-up course, before the excursion, has the task of making everyone, especially beginners, able to drive a kayak with the minimum skills required for the conduct of the excursion. However, it may happen that, despite the start-up course and the instructor’s indications in the water, the minimum skills required for the excursion are not reached. For example, there may be a failure in balance that causes repeated flips or in the execution of the circular paddle to make the kayak change direction. Unfortunately, in a group experience the instructor in the water cannot devote much time to a person possibly in difficulty because during this time the entire group remains without a guide and a longer time would jeopardize the success of the excursion for the entire group. In these cases, at the sole discretion of the instructor in the water, it will not be possible to participate in the excursion and the person will be accompanied to the starting point. There is a refund of 50% of the cost of the ticket.
• INSUFFICIENT NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: for failure to reach the minimum number of people, we reserve the right to cancel the excursion up to 1 hour before departure. Communication will be via email. For this reason, please always check your email inbox for new messages. There is of course a full refund of the ticket.
• PHOTOGRAPHS: the guide will take numerous photographs during the kayak excursion and participants will receive the link to download them for free by email. It is not recommended to carry your mobile phone as it could be damaged or fall into the water and also its use is an unnecessary source of distraction.
• SINGLE OR DOUBLE KAYAK: The number of single and double kayaks is limited, it is not possible to choose them in advance. The guide will assign them based on participants’ preferences and technical evaluations.
