A Journey into the Heart of Minneriya

As a wildlife photographer with a deep-seated love for Africa’s vast savannas, I was eager to explore the lush landscapes of Sri Lanka’s Minneriya National Park. The promise of witnessing the famed ‘Elephant Gathering’ was too enticing to resist. Arriving in Polonnaruwa, I was greeted by the vibrant hues of the Sri Lankan countryside, a stark contrast to the arid plains I was accustomed to. Our guide for the day, Dhabushka Udan, was a fountain of knowledge.
