Highlights
  • Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) - The amazing Mae Klong Railway Market, locally known as Talat Rom Hoop (‘Market Umbrella Close’). Imagine a train going straight through a public market! The Mae Klong Railway Market has been around since 1905. Fishing was (and still is) one of the main livelihoods of the people who lived here, and the market was another way in which to sell their goods. Officials decided to build a railway in order to better deliver these goods to other provinces. The market remained, however, despite the new tracks that cut through it. The duration included traveling time from Bangkok to Maeklong. - Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - Our first stop of the day will be the famous floating market Damnoen Saduak. You will board a long-tail boat for a ride through the canals. The Damnoen Saduak canal was ordered to be built in 1866 by King Rama IV to facilitate waterborne travels between Ratchaburi and Samut Sakhon provinces. It was finished and opened to the public in 1868. Photos of this vibrant market featuring boats laden with colorful fruits and vegetables, agricultural produce as well as authentic, local sweets, delicacies and souvenirs, are among the most often published in travel magazines and brochures of Thailand. Total time spend here is including traveling time from Bangkok to Damnoen Saduak (approx. 1,5 hrs - depending on traffic situation). NOTE: Damnoen Saduak is very touristy nowadays, but it still guarantees the floating market experience, even though it doesn’t always feel totally authentic. The duration includes traveling time from Damnoen Saduak to Ayutthaya. - Wat Phanan Choeng Worawihan - Wat Phanan Choeng is famous for its enormous seated Buddha image, considered to be one of the most beautiful in Thailand. Entrance fees THB 20 per person is NOT included and must be paid cash on day of the tour: - Wat Mahathat - Wat Mahathat, also known as the Monastery of the Great Relic, is believed to have been built around the 14th century and was once residence to the Supreme Patriarch leader of the Thai Buddhist monks. The most popular tourist attraction of Wat Mahathat is a tree whose roots have grown around the head of the Buddha statue. Entrance fees THB 50 per person is NOT included and must be paid cash on day of the tour: - Wat Phra Sri Sanphet - Used mainly for ceremonies that served to authenticate the king’s spiritual and moral authority, Wat Phra Si Sanphet was the official royal temple. No monks lived here and only people within the royal circle were allowed to enter. Destroying Wat Phra Si Sanphet and the Royal Palace was a priority of the invading Burmese. They melted down 160 kilos of gold from the Phra Buddha Chai Sri Sanphet image and set fire to everything else. The distinctive pagodas of Wat Phra Si Sanphet are one of the most famous sights in Ayutthaya. Entrance fees THB 50 per person is NOT included and must be paid cash on day of the tour: The duration included traveling time from Ayutthaya to Bangkok.

Thank you very much for a wonderful day! - Our guides Siri, Peak, and Luke and our driver Beer were great and took us all over the place throughout the day in a fun way. The three of them took many family photos along the way, which allowed us to focus on enjoying the sights and seeing what we needed to see. We were traveling with our children this time, so it was nice to see their concern for them. If we ever visit Bangkok again, we would definitely ask them to guide us.

Great guide! Thank you so much! - We had a great tour with a lovely tour guide named Tanya (probably spelt wrong, sorry) and Mei Tai the driver, our tour guide was very informative and friendly, filling us in on the history of each stop and even advising us on what’s best to do in the area we are staying. Arriving safely to each destination, we had plenty of time to take photos and stroll around with her guidance, there was no pressure, which makes the experience much more relaxed.

Friendly - My guide Kan and driver Mai were a fantastic team. I felt incredibly comfortable on my own from the first minute. Mai is an amazing and safe driver while Kan was able to walk me through the history, architectural styles and religious iconography. I had a great day with these friendly and generous guides.

A pleasant journey into the history of Thailand - We left early in the morning from the center of Bangkok. We had a very comfortable car with a nice Mai driver. We were also accompanied all the way by the wonderful guides Siri and Fluke! In each place, they tell in detail about the history and how the Thai population lives now. They took wonderful photos and showed us the best places to watch the train. In Auyuthaya, we were also shown many good places to take photos and told interesting details of this place. The guys speak English well and they are really interested in what they are doing. I recommend this tour!

Wonderful tour with great guides and driver - Amazing Guides and Driver turned the Trip into a wonderful experience. The Guides Siri and bail explained everything about every destination we visited. Siri also made good pictures about me and my girlfriend. I visited many places around south east asia and I think this was one of my best experiences that I ever had. The looked after us and told us where we can buy good products/food for a fair price. I would recommend everyone to book this tour. I would also thank the Driver Mai, who drove us in a really comfortable and safety fashion to our destinations.

Brilliant... - It was a brilliant trip arranged with WanderSiam. We had short stay in Bangkok so took this squeezed 2in1 trip. It was a whole day trip so a bit stretched but thoroughly enjoyed, thanks to professionalism of the the lady guide and the lady driver, who were knowledgeable, knew where and what time to be the best. They took us to railway market at the appropriate time for train arrival, knew the local history and exact location to be at. The floating market was similarly well timed and all arranged. we did not had to wait anywhere unnecessarily. The the trip to Ayutthaya was great historical opportunity, with expert guide explaining all the necessary history, background and perspectives. The whole arrangement was 5 star and the staff were brilliant. I would go with this company (which we have tried twice for different packages) with closed eyes. They are professional, affordable, responsible and brilliantly executed packages. Well done and thank you.
