There are many animals inhabiting the national park including elephants, tigers, monkeys, bears, deer and squirrels. There are also various types of snakes like pythons, spiders, rodents and insects, so it is best advised to wear long sleeved clothing. In addition, the park has more than 400 species of birds.
We take one of the trekking trails in the park and walk through the nature while enjoying the beautiful mountainous landscape.
Khao Yai National Park is one of the best places in Thailand to see Asian elephants in the wild and many visitors come to catch a glimpse of the park’s wild elephant population, grazing in their natural habitat. Keep in mind, however, that it cannot be guaranteed that you will see wild elephants in the park during your day trip.

Haew Suwat Waterfall - There are several waterfalls throughout the national park offering incredible scenery and photo opportunities.
The most well-known waterfall in Khao Yai National Park is Haew Suwat. It is famous for being the location for Leonardo DiCaprio’s waterfall dive in the movie ‘The Beach’ back in 2000. - Haew Narok Waterfall - Haew Narok is the highest falls in Khao Yai National Park, and the park’s star attraction, cascading over three tiers with the final level gushing 80 metres below into a deep pool. However, only the first level is open to the public, as the other levels are steep and dangerous. There’s a hillside viewpoint where you can clearly watch and take photos of the waterfall. Especially at the height of the rainy season, the Haew Narok Waterfall is a truly breathtaking sight.

- Wear comfortable walking shoes (no flip flops).
- Since we walk on one of the nature trails, we highly recommend to wear long pants, socks and comfortable walking shoes.
- The exact meeting/departure time will be informed in a private message via the platform the day before before the tour. Departure time can be between 07:45-08:30 hrs depending on the number of participants on your travel date.

Amazing Experience - I had a great tour with Siri and the driver Mr. Nu. They were extremely knowledgable and professional from start to finish.
Throughout the tour we saw a lot of different species of animals along with the waterfalls. Siri also managed to take a lot of wonderful pictures throughout the tour. All in all, I would highly recommend the tour to my friends and family for when they decided to visit Thailand.

Relaxing tour - After four busy days in the crowded Bangkok, we wanted to breathe and relax. Great choice to go to Khao Yai.
The WanderSiam staff was great and very welcoming: bought us white corn and water and waited for us 10 min to get to their office. Mr Nut, the guide, was very kind, helped me get to the car with an umbrella due an out of the blue heavy rain. Took some great photos of us in the forest, by the waterfalls and by the river. The pace was fast on the easy trail, but Mr. Nut gave us plenty of time to climb or go down the stairs and let us enjoy the scenery. Mr Beer is a great driver, very good at taking pictures also.
The trips to the waterfalls were easy, though there were really steep stairs, I manage to do it with a bad knee ( when we stopped at 7/11, I bought some heat patches that helped me ease the pain).
The food was pretty good and freshly made. I also enjoyed a watermelon smoothie.

Day trip from Bangkok - Mr. Nut and driver Mr. Beer were fantastic, it was a great way to see Khao Yai from bangkok on a day trip. They are very helpful and provide insights to the park.

Excellent Excursion with lots of Wildlife Sightings - I booked this trip last minute for my husband and I as we had an extra day in Bangkok and didn’t know what to do with it. We needed a break from the city and this trip was perfect! We saw a ton of wildlife- Monkeys, Elephants, Geckos, Snakes, Lizards, Squirrels, etc
I highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a break from the City or people who appreciate wildlife. The jungle hike is in a very dense part of the jungle so just be prepared for that. We brought bug spray and used a lot of it and didn’t have any issues with bugs/ leeches.

A great day in nature!... - A great day in nature! Paul helped us find lots of wildlife. He also walked with my Dad during the nature trek to make sure he was okay. You need to be physically fit. This trek is not for the casual walker. Lots of fallen trees to climb over and the heat makes it difficult but worth it.

Forest trip - Tania was a great tour guide and our driver was skilled and thoughtful. Waterfalls, swing bridges, monkeys, a snake and a few stair climbs in the warm, green forest were a good escape from the city for a day. I over prepared and found the walks comfortable. We were fortunate to see deer, a snake and elephants as we were heading out of the park! I was traveling solo but had a lovely group to share the trip with.

Amazing experience, exceptional guides - The guides were amazing, very passionate about the trip, conservation and giving us the best possible experience.
We ended up stopping for 20 mins extra to get a glimpse of three elephants and a deer on the way back

Nice day trip out of the city - Fun experience for a day trip! We loved Tonya. She was energetic, great at spotting the wildlife and knowledgeable. We went on a day trip with the same company the day before and had the best driver, Bier, both days.

Not what I had hoped for. - I was not very impressed with this tour. Although the guide was nice and funny, he didn't provide much info about the area or the flora and fauna which was what I had hoped for. The van was comfortable. It is recommended that people wear leech resistant "leggings" which can be rented from the driver. This should be included. Those who did not rent them got leeches.
