Had an amazing experience... - Had an amazing experience with Khun Bro as our guide!! We were very lucky to see a total of 14 elephants during this trip which is very very rare as many reviews in the past have stated that many did not see a single elephant. This tour was taken in January so the trails were dry and safe and it wasn’t too in the dry season that the waterfalls dried up. Bro is an excellent and knowledgeable guide that clearly cares about his group and would definitely book another day trip with him and the amazing driver Kookkuhi (Even sent me dash cam recordings of the elephants we encountered on the road!!!)

Unique and recommendable - It was great to see the national park - a truly unique experience. Keep in mind that the chance to see the wild elephants is very slim, so one has to keep expectations low.

Nature at its best - Highlights: Hiking through the jungle, clinging onto vines on the steep parts, crawling through the tree branches and over rocks and fallen logs to reach secluded areas to view the falls. On the drive out, an elephant was walking down the road! All traffic halted. Our guide encouraged us to get out and observe within safe distance. His passion and enthusiasm for this spectacle made it memorable beyond words! I just wish there was more guide interaction. Limited English made for a long 3 hour ride each way! If you book because you want to be in nature, this tour makes sense. If you want to learn about the area, you’ll need to google that info.

Good Excursion - First off, reading a lot of the reviews I was really scared about leeches. We came in January and there were no leeches. As many other reviews said, it is a long drive, but that can’t be helped because we are so far away from Bangkok. I did read other reviews saying that the tour should start earlier. If you are not an avid hiker, the trek is enough. I would not have really wanted to do another one. The first hike - I would recommend walking some stairs before coming to get prepared. There are a lot of steep steps down to the waterfall. Ladies, this area does not have an American style toilet. The second hike does. So, if you don’t want to deal with that, then potentially hold it. The second hike - this one is considerably harder. It is easy to fall and is a bit dangerous. If you don’t like a hard hike, potentially reconsider booking the tour. Wildlife - we saw spiders, monkeys, a snake, a deer, and some lizards. We did not see any elephants (which is fine, no one can control that). Overall, as it was my first jungle experience, I really liked it. If I had gone to a different jungle before, I might have passed on this tour and found a different thing to do. After having Ken (guide) our tour guide was not as attentive. It would have been nice to point things out along the 3 hour ride there and 4 hour ride back, just to keep things interesting. They did spot the snake which was hard to do and showed us some other animals that I wouldn’t have seen myself.

A pleasant trip to Khao Yai National Part - The ride from the meeting place to Khao Yai National Park took more than 3 hours, but we were rewarded with the beautiful and scenic park. The guide was friendly and efficient. Visitors should be prepared to walk the many flights of steep steps, and the Elephant Trail is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Make sure you have the confidence to trek over thick vegetation and manoeuvre over obstacles. Get yourself mentally and physically prepared, wear fiiting sports shoes with good grip. With the right preparation, the adventure would prove to be a plesantly memorable one.

UNCLEAR INFORMATION AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - We didn’t even get to go on our tour. We received 10 messages all saying we would leave at 8:30AM besides one saying 8:10. We even received multiple emails after, that still stated 8:30. We got a text while in the taxi that we would be left behind at 8:10. They apparently had changed the time but never made it clear to us! So we arrived at 8:20 and were greeted with TERRIBLE customer support and were not able to get a refund. We were in touch with the tour guide before they left and they would not wait 10 minutes for us. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!

Not pro - After several reminders by email and whatsapp, we never had an answer to know the time and place of appointment for this excursion. So we could never book without this information.

TOUR CONFIRMED AT 4PM AND CANCELLED THE NIGHT BEFORE AT 11PM - I absolutely do not recommend this agency, we canceled the tour the night before departure, not proposing alternatives and leaving us no alternative. At 4pm they confirmed the tour and then at 11pm they cancelled it. They talked about traffic and safety issues related to New Year's Eve, we went to ayutthaya the day before (29) and we had no problem, now (31) we are at the floating market and the same we had no problem
