Amazing timetravel - Despite the weather we had an amazing guidance through 2 districts. Its a huge place but we could grasp it and imagine what would have been living 2000 years ago in the great city of Pompeii… Vesuv trip was unlucky as it was a heavy fog so we could not see a thing but regardless was a great experience.

Pompeii/Vesuvius Tour - Glad we combined both site visits together. It was a long day. Walked about 20k steps. The only concern was the tour guides started 20 minutes early. We joined the group as they were exiting the meeting point at 10:40. Tour was scheduled to start at 11:00. The Pompeii tour guide did a great job explaining the the Pompeii ruins. It was about 20 degrees cooler (55F) on Vesuvius.

Brilliant - Great day At Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius.Booked the trip from Uk and couldn’t have been more efficient.People waiting after we left the train to show us where we could pick our tickets up.Had a guide around Pompeii who was great and very knowledgeable which made the experience even better.About an hours break then off in a coach to Vesuvius.Takes you quite a way up then about 1/2 hour walk to the top.Spectacular views and although a pretty tough walk well worth it.Then back to coach and down to the station.Well worth the money, highly recommended by us👏👏👍

Great way to see both Pompeii and Vesuvius when you have limited time - Tour guide in Pompeii was excellent, informative and engaging. It was enough time (2 hours guided) with another 90 minutes to explore by yourself. Audio system was effective and group not too big. Bus to Vesuvius up windy mountain was an experience in itself. There’s a steep 850 metres to the top but couple of places to rest along the way. Disappointing no facilities along way and if you want to use the only toilet (apart from a portaloo) which is near the car park you have to buy something from the cafe. Enough time to see the crater. A walking stick helped this older traveller.

Disappointing experience despite amazing location - My experience here was a combination of bad luck and a less than ideal itinerary. I booked this one specifically because of the Vesuvius portion of the trip. This was canceled due to weather, which was unfortunate but not the fault of anyone. Regrettably this tied into a few bad experiences: despite what the description said, I had to leave the ruins immediately after the tour to get back to the meeting point for Vesuvius on time-there was no hour and a half available to explore. The tour skipped many key points of interest (amphitheater, necropolis, and garden of the fugitives) though did have some interesting information about we did explore. No one let me know about the cancellation of the second half of the booking before I arrived back at the meeting point (ie after I left the ruins) so I have to buy another ticket to re-enter and see what was skipped in the tour. (I wasn't about to miss out when Vesuvius had been canceled and there was no point) I went back in, downloaded the free app mentioned at the entrance and explored for another few hours. Ultimately I was told to submit a request for reimbursement for the missed part of the trip and received less than 30% back-not enough to pay for just a Vesuvius run. In summation the guide did the best she could with the time she had, but there simply wasn't enough time to really see Pompeii. The extra time listed on the itinerary to explore the ruins before the Vesuvius run didn't exist, communication about the cancelation was poor and cost me the price of a second ticket, and I was reimbursed less than the cost of the activity canceled. The only reason I didn't rate this lower was because the tour guide was good and the ruins were amazing. I'd sooner recommend booking Pompeii and Vesuvius separately to avoid time constraints. Download the app at the entrance, and if you still want to have a tour guide for some extra flavor then do so, but expect to need additional time to really enjoy your visit.

You need to inform us when we book the tickets what time the bus leaves - We enjoyed Pompeii unfortunately no one gave us a time the bus left when we went back to get our ticket they told us then we had missed our 2:30 bus first time we were told the bus left hat 230 the tour didn't get done to 130 by the time we walked back out of Pompeii it was too late they did offer us to request another date but since we were leaving the area that did not work they did not offer a refund for their miscommunication

Tempio Travel is Chaos - Tempio Travel is chaotic, unorganized, and unprofessional. Unfortunately, it’s the only option for guided tours in Pompeii. The office is too small for the crowds of customers. They walked at least a hundred of us at a time through a restaurant to pick up our audio packs and then split us up into groups of 30. My audio pack wasn’t synched to the right tour guide and when I turned back to the table to get it fixed, our tour guide left me and my husband behind. There was no counting off or any kind of responsibility on the guide’s part to make sure we were all there. We tried to catch up to our tour guide, but we never found them. We just decided to walk through Pompeii ruins alone. When we finally returned to the office to complain, they didn’t care and made it out to be my fault that I lost sight of the tour guide and didn’t immediately return to the office to tell them. One female employee I wasn’t even talking to snapped/yelled at me from across the office. Visiting Vesuvius was a neat experience, but the communication from Tempio Travel regarding where to find the buses and which buses were ours was a nightmare. Staff was not helpful at all. My whole day at Pompeii was ruined by the disorganized systems and unhelpful staff. I wish we had just stayed in Rome.
