A must - Having already had the experience of climbing Mount Etna up to 3300 meters, we thank Mario for his availability, his knowledge, his kindness all made us appreciate this excursion.
We recommend it with Mario preferably.

Amazing views!!! - We had Mario on our trip and he made the whole experience amazing. The drive to and from Mt Vesuvius was great as Mario gave an overview of what lead up to the eruption and geological details which were very interesting. The views on the mountain were amazing and you could see so much of Naples and Pompeii. The walk wasn’t as bad as I expected, overall a must if you have a few hours to spare.

Great tour with Mario - Mario was a great tour guide to Mount Vesuvius. He was very informative on our drive up and our driver was able to park right by the entrance of the path up. It is quite an incline up and Mario made sure we took short stops with some more tidbits about the different eruptions. The walk around the top is very interesting. Mario had printed some pictures of different times about the mountain, which was very helpful. He also made sure we made our train at the end. :) In my opinion doing both Pompei and the mountain is a long day. I’m glad we just went with the mountain tour in a day. Good job Mario!

Excellent Tour - Today (7-1-24) we were picked up at our hotel in Sorrento by Giovanni. He was on time, professional & gave us information as he drove us to Pompeii for our tour. Once we got to Pompeii, Giovanni found our guide Enzo. Enzo turned out to be an archeologist working at Pompeii. Enzo had so much insight & interesting information. He was able to keep our 16 year old twins entertained with all his knowledge. I highly recommend Giovanni as your driver & ask for Enzo to be your guide in Pompeii.

Great tour Excellent guide Mario - Mario was a very knowledgeable guide and imparted a great deal of information right across the tour. The vulcanologist who met us at the top of the crater provided a good little talk. Mario communicated very effectively throughout so we knew what was going on. The walk to the top is quite a climb so be prepared. Mario did stop many times though to cater for this. Overall an excellent tour

Fantastic - Mario made the hike up Vesuvius a very fun experience! He was incredibly knowledgable about the region and all things Vesuvius and he was very good about accommodating hikers of all abilities. Thank you so much, Mario!

Be Ready for Changes - Company cancelled excursion the day prior and we were forced to scramble for another form of transportation. They did provide a partial refund but we still had to search for a way to get to the mountain. They provided no assistance with this at all.
