Amazing Tour - Our guide, Mario, was very knowledgeable. He provided great information about Mt Vesuvius and its history. The views from the mountain were fantastic and definitely worth the hike.

Great experience. Worth the $$ - Tour was amazing. Driver was very professional and our guide, Mario, provided detailed, thorough, and very interesting information about Vesuvius and its history, pointed out landmarks from the mountaintop, and showed us culturally important landmarks. He also left space for us to explore while at the top. He made sure we were comfortable with the hike, was very considerate, and quite funny. He made small talk with us and made it easy to talk with him and the rest of our group. Would highly recommend.

pompeii+vesuvius - Julia took us through the ruins during the morning and it was great, she had a lot of energy. In the afternoon we loved hearing the history of the volcano from our tour guide Mario. It was really a stunning view. We went in late october and it was warm in pompeii and cool on top of vesuvius.

Great guide to the summit of Vesuvius - Mario guided our small group of 8 to the summit with interesting historical anecdotes along the way and a clear and deep local knowledge of the Vesuvius region. We learnt about all the major eruptions and also understood the topology of the different craters. His passion for helping tourists was clear and obvious as he chatted to the whole group about other local sites to see during the hike. The walk was quite manageable for anyone with moderate fitness and Mario paused regularly to keep the group together. Grazie Mille.

Great tour of Vesuvius! - Our tour guide Mario was very informative, kind and helpful. It was a bit of good excercise, but nothing strenuous. I would recommend the tour not just for Vesuvius, but also to learn and see the area surrounding it. Spectacular views! I learned a lot. Thank you Mario!

Last minute booking, long term memories - Great, informative and fun tour up Vesuvius. We booked a tour as we couldn’t find tickets any other way, and I’m so glad we did - Mario our guide was informative and very engaging throughout, he used the bus journey to tell us about the eruptions and then brought it to life with a short session with a volcanologist at the crater. Nice size group, care taken to allow the small group to move up together, we all got to see and admire everything we wanted to, and had great explanations and discussion. Teens and parents all loved the visit. Thank you! Also thanks to Francisco our driver.

Beautiful guided tour of Vesuvius - Our guide Super Mario was a great guide. Very nice and clear in his explanations. He took time for everyone along the climb, with stops to catch his breath. Once at the top, explanations from a very nice volcanologist, then visit the crater until the end. I was afraid that we would have too little time on the spot but it was not at all the case. Everything very well organized. It takes approximately 3h/3h30 between departure and return to Pompeii.
