With a 7-hour guided tour, stroll through the streets of Pompeii alongside an archaeological guide (or with the accompaniment of an audio guide)*. Drive 3280ft (1000 mt) up Mt.Vesuvius and walk the path to the crater’s edge. Enjoy the view of the Bay of Naples and learn the geology of the volcano from an expert volcanologist guide. Maximum group size is 40 passengers. Choose between the different group sizes and taste a good light lunch!
- During the low season (November - March) the live guide inside Pompeii ruins will be replaced by an audio guide for groups of less than six
- Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time

Took train from Rome for a perfect day - Maria, our guide, and Rosario, our driver were wonderful. Our tour guide of Pompeii, Ana, was also knowledgeable and answered our specific questions. Pompeii is very large and the tour was perfect amount of time to get a thorough understanding without getting overwhelming. Mt. Vesuvius was also great. We took the fast train from Rome to Naples and they picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. We scheduled the train at 5:55 pm to return to Rome the same day and had time before that to explore the Christmas market in Naples after the tour and before returning to Rome. The train tickets are very easy to purchase online and this worked out better than taking one of the tours from Rome. The train is faster and more comfortable and this tour included Pompeii and Vesuvius. While you could spend days exploring Pompeii, this actually was the perfect amount of time for us.

Unforgettable experience - We really liked the guided tour by our Spanish speaking guide. He gave a good summary of what life was supposed to be like in Pompeii at the time of the eruption. We were lucky there were not too many visitors and enjoyed the visit quietly. Highly recommended. As for the visit of Vesuvius we enjoyed the views.

Fantastic Pompeii and Vesuvius Day Trip! - We had an amazing day on this excursion from Naples! Connie, our tour lead, was friendly, organized, and made everything run smoothly. Andrea, our guide for the Pompeii ruins, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history to life. Rosario, our driver, was professional and made us feel safe, especially on the winding roads to Vesuvius.
The light lunch was delicious, and the whole day was a perfect mix of history, nature, and hiking. As a couple, we had a memorable time and highly recommend this tour! I will say if you are someone who isn’t ever active, the hike is uphill but ever do-able! You are giving plenty to time to take your time walking up and still see the amazing views.
From start to finish, everything was so well-organized and enjoyable, thanks to the incredible team of Connie, Andrea, and Rosario.

History and Nature excursion - A day full of history in Pompeii with the guide Biagio , prepared and always interesting in explaining and careful in describing. Following our tour leader Giovanni , very friendly and prepared , took us to lunch on the slopes of Vesuvius cin tastings of typical Neapolitan dishes (parmesan, mountain pizza , crochè and tasting of classic Neapolitan pizza) with two types of first courses and desserts. Lastly, the driver Remogio with a safe and quiet guide took us phono to the entrance of the Vesuvius park where we made a wonderful climb overlooking the Gulf of Naples, Capri and Ischia. And then, Vesuvius. A trip History and Nature really to do.

Great experience - Giovanni, Biagio and Remigio were outstanding. The driver and la.guida on the bus were very polite and nice and the guide in Pompeii was very prepared and clear in the exposure. Great restaurant. We had a lot of fun and if we had the opportunity to tour again we would still be in their company
