This journey begins in Naples and provides you with the extraordinary chance to acquaint yourself with two significant locations, embodying a unique blend of history and natural beauty, all in a day’s time. We start from the main pickup points listed, with our first stop being Pompeii. Known in the times of the Roman Empire as a trading outpost for wine and oil, its global acclaim is attributed to the Vesuvian eruption that buried it in AD 79. Pompeii offers an awe-inspiring glimpse into historical craftsmanship. Post Pompeii, the tour progresses towards Herculaneum, our second spot. Unearthed in the 18th century, Herculaneum, although smaller in size compared to Pompeii, can be walked through in approximately an hour and a half. A tour around this excavation offers a rich insight into Roman lifestyle and an impression of the sudden terror it’s residents must have felt when the volcano erupted.
To wrap up the day, we head back to Naples.
