Great adventure - We had a great experience with Askos tour and our guide Paola. Palio new the history and site as an expert, he encouraged question and was able to answer all of them. Making it especially hard for him was that it rain during the tour. He managed to move us from sheltered area to sheltered area snd almost magically brought us back to open site as the rain let up. We saw everything.
Also due to train schedules we had to arrive 2 hours early to Pompei. The Askos representative got us into the site early so we were able to look around on our own and then meet the tour at the front when it started. We really appreciated the extra consideration.

Great experience, the guide shared a lot of valuable knowledge - The tour was great! Tour guide Paolo told many interesting stories about the city and the eruption. Definitely it is recommended to visit with guide to understand what you are looking at.

Paolo is a Legend! - We contemplated visiting Pompeii on our own without a guide but decided to get one through Askos anyway. I am so glad we did because when Paolo started the tour you could instantly tell he was going to turn a visit into an experience.
Through his humour and immense knowledge, he took us around the site and, within the two hours of the tour, took us around the key sights and weaved them together into a story of what life was like back then.
He made sure everyone was involved and was happy to answer any questions.
I cannot recommend him enough - do not go to Pompeii without a guide; you’re only getting a fraction of the experience if you do.

Perfect time of year - Our guide was an archeologist and was a wealth of knowledge regarding the site and the time period. The area was not too crowded and that allowed for a better experience.

Excellent Tour - I had been to Pompeii before, but this was my first time with a guided tour. It made the visit much more meaningful and memorable, and helped me imagine what life was like there in Ancient Rome. Our guide, Paolo, was friendly, funny and informative. His presentation also appealed to my wife, who is an archaeologist, and my children (age 8 and 12). Highly recommend!

Fantastic tour of Pompeii witrh Laura @ ASKOS - We had a thoroughly enjoyable day in Pompeii with our ASKOS tour guide Laura. Laura was so interesting, well-versed, articulate and kind. She really inspired us throughout the 2 hour tour. The history of Pompeii is mindblowing and we had such a fun time. I will definitely be back and go out of my way to try to join Laura‘s tour group in future. Our group of friends really appreciated that Laura would ask us if we wanted to hear darker facts and trivia about the disaster of Pompeii throughout her storytelling. It was such a nice touch - checking in with her audience to make sure everybody was comfortable with the level of detail. Not very often would you get a trigger warning ahead of time with a large tour group. We will certainly be back, thank you Laura, you were amazing!
