Definitely book this tour - It was so important to have an informed guide like Mariana to point out details and explain things which normally one would not notice or know. Touring the ruins is an amazing experience and a must to fully grasp an understanding of what life was like for a civilization going back to B.C. Mariana was so nice and professional - highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful Pompei experience with Marianna - Marianna provided my wife and I an outstanding private tour of the Pompei archeological site. She guided us expertly through the ruins providing us colorful and informative descriptions of what life was like before and after Pompei was buried under volcanic ash. I felt like I received a college level course condensed into two hours by an expert of the subject. Marianna delivered an exceptional experience to us and we really learned a lot. Excellent tour!!!

Excellent tour of Pompeii by Liv Tours - Our tour with Natalie was wonderful! She pointed out details and provided explanations that were interesting and fascinating. We love Carla - Carla is an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. Carla has a very profound knowledge of all the subject areas and really bought Pompeii to life for us. I would also like to make a special mention. One of our group left a pair of prescription glasses at a restaurant in Sorrento. To Carla’s great credit when we arrived at Pompeii Carla rang around her colleges and organised for the glasses to picked up and returned to us at our accommodation in Rome the following day. What can I say about such an action. Brava Carla

Above and beyond - Carla was AMAZING 🤩 She knew everything about Pompeii and showed us little details you'd easily miss. She's friendly and funny -everything you'd want in a tour guide. We had a good amount of time to see the highlights, we didn't feel rushed. This has been a real highlight of our Italy trip. Don't miss Pompeii with Liv Tours. I also stupidly left my sunglasses at a restaurant during the previous stop and Carla jumped into action to get them back to me at my accommodation, what a legend!

Less than we expected - Our guideLia was very pleasant and clearly very knowledgeable. However, we did not see some of the sites on the itinerary, including the House of Sallust and of Julia Felix, and I don’t think we saw the thermal baths. Even when I asked to see wall paintings, we were shown a room with plain red walls that we had already seen. After Lia left us, we discovered wall paintings by accident in a building that also held plaster casts of some victims. Overall, we were fairly disappointed in the tour.
