Awesome! - This tour is a cannot miss. And I mean that in the most genuine way possible. The beauty of Pompeii is only accentuated by the insider information provided by Vitoria (tour guide). Walking around the ruins with her feels like walking with an old friend sharing secrets- secrets of the past lives of those that lived in Pompeii 2000 years ago. Being shown around the “less known” sites of extraordinary rooms and houses in Pompeii by Vitoria, gave us a sense of inclusion and a better perspective of how life went on in the old Pompeii. The beauty of Pompeii is only accentuated by the insider information provided by Vitoria like secret details carved into stone all around. The stories of individual citizens can be better understood by book recommendations from the extremely knowledgeable tour guide. The Wolf Den trilogy (recommended by tour guide) is a MUST read prior to the tour. As you pass crowded areas and into more exquisite exhibits and ruins, you will appreciate the knowledge that allows an intimate experience with near perfect ruins. If you take any tour of Pompeii, it needs to be with Vitoria. I cannot recommend and praise her knowledge and skills enough. The last detail I will leave you with- or more experience- is that of running into other tour guides and hearing their unending appraises of Vitoria. The one that sticks out in our minds is “Vitoria is an original, I am a fake.” After hearing that (although already convinced) we made the best decision possible on which tour to go on. I hope you choose this tour and Vitoria for your visit to Pompeii!

Did not disappoint - Pompeii had been on my bucket list for some time and it did not disappoint. Booking a small group tour worked well as there was only 10 of us in the group. Our guide was informative and friendly and brought Pompeii to life. I booked the first tour of the day to avoid the midday sun, but even at 9am it was still incredibly hot so make sure you bring a parasol and hat and plenty of water.

The small group tour was... - The small group tour was well worth it. Lello (so sorry if that’s the wrong spelling) was an amazing guide. So knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining. Couldn’t imagine doing that without him. Loved the small group, too, very personable, about 2 hours. 12pm not too busy.

Excellent and great guide - The booking proceed was easy and straightforward, guide picked us from the agreed location on time. Guide was helpful knowledgeable and made the tour experience more enjoyable. Superb !

Go the small group as it’s more intimate…..POMPEII - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Pompeii Small Group Tour with LILO. We had 2 other couples in the group and from start to finish LILO kept us informed and entertained. LILO’S knowledge of Pompeii was excellent and I came away with a better understanding of the history of Pompeii. It is hot at this time of year so wear a hat, take water and wear sunscreen. Two hours was ideal to get a good overview. You need to escape the heat after that. Thank you LILO.

Very Engaging visit - Thank you - It was so interesting to walk around the site with our guide and well worth the money. We learnt about Pompeii but also lots about Roman homes, baths and shops.

Great tour - We had a great experience on this tour. We signed up knowing that this was a group tour with up to 16 people but ended up having a private tour with just my family. our tour guide, Allesandro, was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. He took the time to show us things we were intersted in and was able to dodge the large crowds in many instances. With just the 3 of us on the tour, we spent 2.5 hours with us. Also, I needed to contact the tour operator about a timing issue and I got a quick response. I would recommend this tour if you are interested in seeing the Pompeii ruins.
