Excellent and informative visit to Pompeii with Italo - We had a really great tour of Pompeii. We booked a four hour tour to get the most out of the day. Our guide Italo went out of his way to make it the best tour experience possible. He had great knowledge of Pompeiian history, the site and the ongoing excavations. He was interesting and very engaging throughout the day.
We came away with the sense of the real Pompeii and the people who lived there.
We paid extra for a car from our hotel and back again, so glad we did. We were ready for a good rest afterwards, there’s a lot of walking to do, but it was so worth it. I would highly recommend this company for your Pompeii trip.
There’s still more to see on another visit. Thanks Italo!

Book the tour! (and ask for Italo!!) - Our tour of Pompeii was one of our favorite experiences of our trip! Our tour guide's name was Italo, and he absolutely made the tour what it was. He was friendly, funny, personable, and very knowledgeable about Pompeii - beyond what I would expect of an average tour guide. He told us everything we were going to see and the important context of Pompeii before we began the tour and let us know that his goal was to teach us how to identify what we saw so that we could get the most out of our visit. He explained everything in a very clear and interesting way and welcomed any questions we had. We spent about 3 hours at Pompeii and though it is a very large place we felt like we got the most we could out of our time and hit all the big things.
Pompeii is such an interesting place and definitely worth visiting, especially with a good tour guide and skip-the-line (it made a big difference)

Highlight of our time in Italy - We booked our private tour with Lello as recommended by a coworker who had raved about her experience and it turned out to be one of our favorite experiences we have ever had. Lello is an endless wealth of knowledge and we learned so much from him as he is one of the site's archeologists. Had we tried to see Pompeii on our own or even with a larger, shorter time frame tour we would have missed out on so much. The archeological site is just incredible to see and Lello brought it to life with his stories and humor. Since our group was just my husband and I we were able to move ahead and see many of the sites without having to wait behind the crowds. If we would have booked this same tour everyday for a week I have no doubt that Lello would not have run out of things to teach us. It is hard to put into words how wonderful our experience was. We can't wait to return in the future to see what new discoveries have been unearthed!

Amazing! - Our personal tour guide Lello was amazing! City is large and so well preserved! Lello was super knowledgeable on the archeology, engineering, art, and customs of the time. My family agreed this was our best tour after coming from various tours in Rome.

Best tour guide in Italy - Lello was an excellent tour guide with lots of information, humor and charisma. He made our 2 hours very entertaining and intriguing. Lello is an archeologist and was well informed about the sites and knew all the workers. He showed us hidden gems and painted the scene of times past. He made us laugh a lot and I wish he was our tour guide everywhere we went! Thanks for the wonderful time Lello. You made Pompeii very interesting and we would not have been even close to learning so much if we had gone alone as planned originally.

Book this tour you won't regret it! - I have nothing bad to say about this tour, it was worth every penny. There were four of us and we had our guide Rosanne all to ourselves. Her passion and knowledge brought every corner of Pompeii we visited back to life. I can say for sure that we would not have enjoyed Pompeii as much as we did without our wonderful guide.

Fantastic! - This was a fantastic tour, our guide was soo accomodating the whole day and made the five hours fly by with her wealth of knowledge and fun way of introducing us to all the most interesting aspects of Pompeii. I would definitely choose this tour and our tour guide again as I feel five hours is the perfect amount of time to cover all the most interesting and important parts of Pompei. Five stars.

Once in a Lifetime Tour - To say Leilo is THE best guide is an understatement. Even before we entered the site EVERY vendor, guide, archeologist, & employee who worked there went out of their way to greet him. It didn’t take long to understand why. We opted for the 5 hour private tour. Most folks find a way to splurge and this trip was worth every penny! This was our third tour with a private guide on our trip but by far the best. Leilo’s knowledge and expertise in this area is bar none. To experience and spend the day soaking in the information was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
