Additional Information

Immerse yourself in the Roman era with an intimate, small-group guided tour of Pompeii, helmed by an archaeologist. Journey through this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a span of two hours, guided by a knowledgeable expert who will help you navigate the city conserved by the volcanic ash from Mount Vesuvius’ eruption in AD 79.

Begin by bypassing the line to enter the city at Porta Marina Superiore, one of the seven gates of the ancient city. Stroll down the main roads and meander around the Forum, formerly the bustling heart of the city and the epicenter of public activity. From here, you can view Mount Vesuvius casting its shadow over the city.

Explore historical structures like the Basilica, Thermal Baths, Temples, and Pompeii’s Grand Theater. You’ll even get a chance to see plaster casts of inhabitants caught in the city during the eruption.

Witness preserved artworks, mosaics, and frescoes scattered across various locations that have been well-preserved and serve as a 2000-year old time capsule. Noteworthy sites include the House of the Vetti and the Lupanar Brothel - view its conserved stone beds and frescoes.

Pompei by foot. - Our guide was very knowledgeable of the site. Highlighted many areas from the frescos to the bake ovens and even the water sisters. Great explanations and answered questions.

Tour of Pompeii - Great company! Quick to answer if need to ask any questions! We are new to the city and Veronica helped us through everything, and explained everything clearly! Highly Recommend touring with them!

A great visit for a incredible place - We had a really great time visiting this marvelous place full of history. Really interesting and detailed visit with Chiara. Moreover, we are very grateful to the very understanding staff, who did everything to make us participate to the visit, despite we arrived late due to an unexpected event. Thank you to all of them

Terrible experience! - We ended up missing the tour because we could not find the meeting point. We used the address given for it in the voucher and it was an abandoned building! We tried calling but no one picked up from the tour company.

Total waste of money and time. - Worst tour we had on our trip. Guide was awfull. Snapped at me for asking questions, didn’t show us anything important. Unbelievable! We toured none of the houses, we saw no frescoes. Didn’t visit the theatre or amphitheatre. He had no interesting anecdotes or stories. Basically lectured us for 1 hour about the correct Latin pronunciation of the rain water collection system. We had to walk ourselves after the tour to see anything important. Avoid this company like the plague.
