Amazing guide! - Our tour guide, Ricardo, was amazing! His advanced degree in archeology made the 2 hour tour so interesting. His extensive knowledge of not only the culture, but also languages, brought the city to life. HIGHLY recommend! The wine tasting/lunch was just so/so but it was a nice detour before we took the train back to Napoli.

Pompeii plus! - Ornella was a fabulous tour guide and her knowledge in all things “Pompeii” was amazing. The tour was well timed and the wine tour and lunch was a nice way to finish the tour. Food and wines were excellent. Highly recommend this tour.

Great way to do Pompei - Really great highly recommend. I think two hours is probably all you want of Pompei and it’s a great way to change it up. The tour was very interesting and then the wine very yummy

Wine & Ruins - Riccardo was a great tour guide at the ruins! He was very knowledgeable and made history fun for my wife (who isn't a huge history fan). I loved his little tidbits and information as we walked through the central parts of the ruins. We loved Pompeii and I found the ruins incredibly interesting. Our archaeologist was a little bit more of a fan of the Herculaneum ruins, but he was very knowledgeable about the Pompeii ruins. The Wine & Food tasting was fun because of the other guests at our table. They were interesting and we had a great conversation. The wines were good the food was okay - but there wasn't much in the way of information about the wines and we didn't get to learn much about the winery or anything they do. The only negative was that our Van driver from the Pompeii ruins to the Wine tasting was smoking in the van. Not a great experience there and would normally have made me reduce a few stars - but the rest of the trip was great.

Mixed Feelings - The Pompeii visit was great, our guide was Enrica, and she was very knowledgeable and eager to share the history with us. She went above and beyond the night before and communicated with me on how to buy entry tickets online so I didn't need to stand in line the next day. The feeling on standing on that historic site and seeing that lost city was amazing. The Casasetaro Winery was somewhat of a disappointment. The night before we were sent a menu for our pairings and wine tasting. They never provided the bread and oil as on the menu, and one tasting had no pairing at all. The winery guide outside told us we would get to pair with some vegetables they grow alongside the grapes and we did not. The staff had a hard time getting wine to the table and even forgot to provide wine to one in our party so we had to go ask.

The tour guide was... - The tour guide was excellent but the lunch and wine tasting experience was not as good. The food and wine was very good but it was very impersonal. The wait staff was not friendly. It was not a fun experience compared to other wine tastings we had. I would not recommend for the money spent.

Great tour of Pompeii, but better dining options available - The tour of Pompeii was fascinating and we had a knowledgeable and helpful guide. Would definitely recommend this part. The food in the winery was fairly basic for the money we paid, and the pasta was very undercooked (an italian in our group agreed). It was rushed and instead of being able to savour the different wines, we were having to drink the glasses quickly. We were then moved off the table to wait elsewhere for 20-30 mins for our transport, to make way for the next set of diners with no offer to buy any more drinks whilst waiting. We were dropped back to the Pompeii site and had a beer in one of the many restaurants before catching the train. They had a great choice of food and the diners were enjoying their meals at their own pace, so we wish we had eaten there after the tour.
