A beautiful way to bring history to life - It was totally worth it! With the AR glasses you simply have a better idea of what it used to look like. The tour shows the most important stations. Ideal for getting a good overview and also ideal with children. After that you can continue to explore Pompeii on your own and you also get a map. For those interested in going into more depth and details, it might not be the first choice. Sara is our guide and was a knowledgeable and very nice guide, we felt in good hands. Thank you!

A new way to experience Pompeii - The 3D glasses give an incredible view of Pompeii. The ruins take on a new dimension and the experience is incredibly enriched. The guide also carried out his job very well, without going into too much detail, answering questions and even involving the younger members of the family. Thanks Cyrus!

Great 3D experience - The tour guide Roberta was excellent, and the 3D experience was worth every penny! It was amazing to see how beautiful the city looked in all its colour.

Pompeii was a memorable experience - Overall, this was a great experience. We had a wonderful tour guide, who was very knowledgeable, passionate about Pompeii and friendly. Using 3D technology to see renderings of the past was helpful, although the headset around your neck for the duration of the tour is a bit tiring. With that said, we would def use the same tour again. Thank you so much!

A fascinating way to see Pompeii - Rainy morning for long stretches. Despite this, our guide, Sara (young, but expert in managing times, requests and itinerary), accompanied us through the ruins, answering our questions and appearing helpful and courteous from different points of view, both with the little ones and with the elderly, even in the (also very simple) use of goggles. Truly a great experience.

VR Virtual Tour Review Other Than Expected - VR Virtual Tour Review Other Than Expected!! 955792040 This review has no reflection on our guide! The 3d tour was totally disappointing that it was not a full narrated tour as we only used the glasses 5 times in a 3 hour tour!! We spent our entire three hour tour not knowing exactly the history of what we were seeing unless we asked or called the guide back to a specific spot. Definitely not worth the cost per our group of 11. Pro - great guide - patiently answered our many questions - took us off the beaten path to uncrowded roads - 3d virtual glasses easy to use - the visuals were nice Cons - guide needed to speak louder so those in back could hear - the virtual audio tour needed more information beyond the Vr portions - the VR was more of video. it really didnt orient to the background - 7 of the 11 returned audio and glasses in early prefering to listen to the guide. Overall nice, but left us all disappointed!!

Almost what I've been hoping for - The AR experience was less than it appeared to be on the website. It was cool, but the tech was rough (didn't actually overlay in real time/space; I spent a lot of time spinning in circles trying to see and/or catch the images over where they belonged) and the glasses weren't clean to begin with. I'm glad I did it because it was novel and it did illuminate the past a bit. A proper guide with a picture book might do nearly as well though.

Try another guide - I would skip this one. Compared to other tours we’ve had this guide was unenthusiastic and spoke with back to the group for much of the time. He also didn’t keep track of the group and just moved forward. We missed half the tour as we couldn’t find him. The glasses were ok, 1 minute created snippets at various locations.

No tour guide with mediocre images of a few spots in Pompeii - This has been a really sad experience for me and for my family. From the beginning, the tour started by the tour "operator" having another person with him to "train him". He talked to the other guy more than he talked to us. Unfortunately for him, I understood more italian than he thought. At one point I overheard him call me a really bad name. I confronted him about it, but of course he denied it. This is not the worst part of the tour because despite this, my family chose to continue the tour. The glasses had very mediocre graphics of certain places during a very partial tour to say the least. The recordings that accompanied the "images" of what Pompeii looked like before eruption pretty much just talked about us "imagining" ourselves smelling the fresh focaccia at the market or telling us how lucky we are to be in a certain space. Not informative at all. Please be aware that there is no tour guide on this tour. He is just there to operate the glasses. He did ask if we had any questions, but when asked the simplest of questions he did not have an answer and just followed with "if you have any other questions let me know". I've taken many tours all around Italy, and I have to say this was by far the worst tour I've ever taken. I did read in the details before booking that there isn't a professional tour guide, but this angry guy took it to another level. He was not interested in being there at all and just talked to the "trainee" about his issues. I feel sorry for the other guy for being trained by this dude. Overall, a horrible experience. Two thumbs down.
