Day 1 - Welcome to the Azores!

Ponta Delgada - Upon your arrival at Sao Miguel Airport, a driver will be ready to transfer you to your centrally located 4-star hotel.

Enjoy some leisure time to unwind and explore Ponta Delgada’s delightful cafes and other recommended attractions.

Day 2 - Discover a Blue and Green Paradise

Lagoa Verde / Lagoa das Sete Cidades - Begin your day with breakfast, followed by a tour of Lagoa do Fogo and Sete Cidades.

The tour kicks off at a traditional pineapple plantation, where you can sample pineapple liquor. Then, take in the views from Pico de Carvão and the breathtaking Vista do Rei viewpoint overlooking the twin lakes of Sete Cidades. After visiting Santiago’s lake, enjoy lunch in the picturesque town of Sete Cidades.

In the afternoon, the tour continues along the western coastline to Capelas, a historic whaling village, with a stop at Pedras Negras viewpoint for northern coast vistas. We’ll explore Ribeira Grande’s historic center and have the option to visit the Regional Liquor Factory.

Finally, relax in the warm waters of Caldeira Velha before heading to Lagoa do Fogo for stunning views. The day concludes with a return to Ponta Delgada, enjoying views from Pico da Barrosa.

Day 3 - Prepare for More Idyllic Scenarios

Furnas - After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel to continue exploring the island.

The tour begins in Vila Franca do Campo, the original capital of São Miguel, where you can try the renowned local pastry, Queijada da Vila.

Next, visit Furnas Valley near Furnas Lake to see volcanic fumaroles and learn how the traditional Cozido das Furnas (Furnas stew) is made. You’ll also have the option to visit Terra Nostra Garden and enjoy a thermal bath, so don’t forget your swimsuits!

In Furnas village, discover more fumaroles and their medicinal benefits. Ascend to Pico de Ferro’s viewpoint for a breathtaking view of Furnas Valley.

We’ll then visit the Gorreana Tea Plantation in Ribeira Grande for a tasting of black and green tea.

Finally, the tour concludes at Santa Iria’s viewpoint, offering stunning views of the north coast.

Day 4 - Whale Watching Adventure!

Marina Pêro de Teive - Have you ever witnessed whales and dolphins up close? Now is your chance!
During this excursion, you’ll have the opportunity to observe some of the 28 cetacean species identified in the Azores’ waters. Enjoy the company of whales and dolphins during the three-hour boat trip, where you might also spot turtles, birds, and other marine life.

Day 5 - Embrace the Relaxing Atmosphere of São Miguel

Sao Miguel - Enjoy a full day of leisure to explore the city independently and soak in the island’s relaxed vibe.

Day 6 - Discover the Wonders of Nordeste

Nordeste - After breakfast, you will be picked up from the hotel to continue exploring the island. The day starts with a journey from Ponta Delgada to the north coast, with the first stop at Ribeira dos Caldeirões. Here, admire the beautiful waterfall, known as Véu da Noiva, along with its watermills and gardens.

Travel through the charming village of Nordeste towards the stunning viewpoints of Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada, located at the island’s eastern tip, where you can see the beautiful lighthouse from the cliff top. Lunch will be in Povoação’s village, the first settlement on the island. In the afternoon, relax by the sea or explore its historic center. The return to Ponta Delgada follows the south coast, passing by the Lake of Furnas.

Note: The full-day tour may be substituted with the Serra Devassa walking tour (half-day). Duration: 2h30 | Easy | 5.5 km | Minimum age: 6. Not recommended for individuals with joint issues.

Day 7 - We Knew You Wouldn’t Want to Leave!

Ponta Delgada - As all good things must come to an end, don’t worry, your stay can be extended. Contact us for more information. After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport.
