Private Tour w Tiago Branquinho - MUST DO!! - As New Yorkers w 3 teen/young adults we had to keep them entertained on a tour! After doing an ATV Tooir w Tiagão Branquinho we requested him again! In fact we asked him for additional days and he was busy…why? See our other post and below for more info!!! From start to finish, Tiago Branquinho, a local, crafted a custom itinerary that took us on special adventures we will never forget including: 1. Santa Iria: The breathtaking views here were simply stunning. Tiagão knew all the best spots for perfect photo opportunities and made sure we had plenty of time to soak in the scenery. 2. Three Gorana Tea Place: This was a unique and relaxing stop. We learned so much about the tea-making process and enjoyed the delightful flavors of freshly brewed gorana tea. 3. Furnas: Exploring Furnas was a highlight of our trip. Tiagão guided us through the geothermal wonders and introduced us to the local traditions, including the delicious cozido das Furnas cooked in the hot springs. 4. Ribeira Quente: The natural beauty of Ribeira Quente was mesmerizing. Tiagão’s knowledge of the area ensured we experienced the best of what this charming village has to offer. 5. Nossa Senhora da Paz: Visiting this serene and beautiful church was a deeply moving experience. The panoramic views from the top were absolutely worth the climb, and Tiagão’s insights into the local history added so much to our visit. What an incredible place! 6. São Pedro: The vibrant culture and welcoming atmosphere of São Pedro were unforgettable. Tiagão introduced us to the local community, with a local secret bar, and we felt like we were truly part of the local life. He was so welcoming that we plan to attend the local festival he is hosting as the butler and cannot wait to try his Momma’s chicken wings - claimed to be the best on the plant!!! 7. We asked Tiago to recommend a place for us and even though it was last minute he found a special place! We invited him and he explained all the local dishes!! Overall, Tiagão Branquinho’s expertise and passion for sharing the best of the Azores made our trip extraordinary. We can’t thank him enough for creating such a memorable journey filled with special adventures! Ask for the best to see it all!!
