Green, rocks, and steam! - Marcio was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and adaptive. We had a whole week of weather in one day, but saw viewpoints, volcanoes and hot thermal pools. The buffet lunch was generous and, though we had a car... a great beginning to our orientation on the island. Thanks Marcio, see you in Canada!

Rainy day, Great tour - Jose was extremely knowledgeable and a great guide. Weather was not in our favor and he adjusted the trip plan multiple times in an effort for us to be able to see some of the views. Even though we were never able to view Sete Cidades or Lagoa do Fogo through the mist, it didn't dampen the day as we learned so much and still saw a lot. We were very appreciative to be able to stop for a tour and some shopping at the Ceramic factory, which I don't think is typically part of the tour. The lunch was surprisingly great. I never have high expectations when it comes to a buffet, but there were so many options and everything we tried was very good.

Excellent tour guide showed us beautiful sites - My friend and I absolutely enjoyed this experience. We were lead around by our tour guide Marcello and shown sites around the island for a full day. The itinerary is just as listed, but our tour guide assured us that since we were in Azores in December where there was a lot of fog, if we did not get to see the sites to their full potential, he would take us to a pineapple plantation to make it up. Luckily, we did not have to go to a pineapple plantation because we were able to see everything! Even with the fog, the sites were gorgeous. We started the day at an ancient aqueduct and got to see the old structure. Then we made our way to Sete Cidades, where we saw the lake from both the King's viewpoint and Queen's viewpoint. We also were provided a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant in Sete Cidades. Since it was buffet style, there were plenty of options, but my vegetarian friend did struggle to find something for her. In the second half of the day, we went to Lagoa do Fogo. We were really lucky and were able to see the lake from above when the fog broke for a bit. Our final stops were a gorgeous waterfall called Salto Do Cabrito and then the Santa Barbara Beach. The beach being the final stop was incredibly refreshing - with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean all around. Even with some of the rainy, cloudy weather, we got to see all the sites on the island of Sao Miguel in all their beauty. It was a small tour, so we got to ask plenty of questions, and our tour guide was extremely nice and accommodating. I would highly, highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Azores, and don't let the winter weather discourage you from giving the island a try!

The best tour - This tour included everything. Lunch with wine also. Our guide Eduardo was very professional and shared his wisdom , knowledge and passion for the Azors life and culture and he also made the tour really fun . We did a lot of off road , dirt trails and waterfalls. Most of all was Eduardo's personality and ability to make everyone happy and his knowledge of Azors and it's history was amazing. I always felt safe and in good hands. Highly recommend and request Eduardo. You will not be disappointed!!

Great tour - This was a great tour in a fun, (somewhat) off-road way. The views were spectacular. Eduardo, our tour guide, was phenomenal and very passionate about the entire island. Definitely recommend!

Even though we were unlucky with the weather we could tell this was a great way to tour the island - We were unlucky enough to go out on a day that was extremely foggy so we couldn't get the unbelievable views that we would normally get. With the fog, there's really no point of the tour, you really miss out on the essence of it. So my recommendation would be that if you know in advance that the weather will make the views impossible to see, try to reschedule to another time. But don't let this stop you from booking this tour for a second. If you can go on a day that is clear, this is a fantastic way to do it. Our guide Eduardo was lovely, we really enjoyed our time with him, learning about him and the island, and developing a nice connection with him. If you get a nice day, you will be driving around with him in a jeep all day, hitting many of the main spots you want to get to on the island, seeing beautiful views from many different vantage points, and hearing all about it and Azorean life from a lovely guide.
