Great 3-Part Experience - Operator: Into the Wild. This tour is in three parts: walk-about in the town (Furnas) with waters tasting; dinner at "Tony's" featuring the traditional, steamed-cooked stew; and then on to the thermal baths. All of it was enjoyable. Our guide, Joachim, was great. The stew is not to everyone's taste but other options are available. The thermal baths were fairly crowded but nice and hot. Sulphur content is reasonable and did not discolour jewelry/clothing. Lighting on steps in town and at the baths is inconsistent - step carefully! Lockers are available at the baths for 2 Euros. Dinner and baths locations may vary. Recommended

Portuguese stew (love it or leave it) - Rafael was a great tour guide who was very personable and knowledgeable. We experienced alot in this tour from geysers, to eating Portuguese stew, to drinking tea from mineral water coming from the earth, to soaking in the thermal baths. A great time!

Great, full evening experience - Joaquin is a great guide...we sampled the natural waters then enjoyed a traditional dinner with wine at Tony's then on to the thermal baths. The baths were a little crowded and nighttime lighting for some of the steps could be improved. Plan for a late (10.30 pm+) return. Highly recommended.

Amazing! We will return! - A wonderful experience! Our Guide was Hugo and was impeccable, not only for the delicacy and care with the group, but also for all the knowledge he has not only of the tour itself but of the entire history of the island. The night furnas are a memorable moment and the sharing of experiences between the group made every hour unique and deserved of a new return. Thank you very much! Thank you Hugo for dedication 🙏🏻

Excellent tour worth taking! - This was an excellent tour and highly recommend! Our tour guide Hugo was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and passionate in sharing details of San Miguel. Dinner was plentiful, the hot springs in the evening felt magical and surprisingly time flew from 6pm pick-up to our return at midnight.

Phenomenal Tour Experience - We had a wonderful tour! Hervé is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the island and very kind! We went to a viewpoint to see Furnas, and then to Tony’s where we ate food from volcanic craters which was delicious. We then got to drink fresh mineral water and went to the thermal baths. Overall it was a lovely experience and I couldn’t recommend this more!!
