In this combined culinary and cultural expedition, you’ll traverse through Ponta Delgada under the guidance of our local expert. As you walk, the guide will unravel the intricate connections between our local culture and dietary preferences. At our first pause, Central Café, you’ll indulge in a traditional breakfast featuring native breads, butter, homemade jams, fresh and matured cheese, and Azores pineapple, along with a refreshing drink.

From there, we proceed to Café Royal for a robust espresso paired with the delicious Queijada of Vila Franca do Campo. Our next stop includes a quaint local store for a tasting session of a variety of cheeses. Given the large bovine population on the island, it’s unsurprising that we offer a wide array of cheeses each with unique flavors and intensity.

Continuing our food-trail, we head to the vibrant Local Market where you can feast your eyes on the color-rich produce - a wide variety of regional fruits, vegetables, meats, fish - they’re all here. Don’t miss out on sampling some of our seasonal fruits from the market stalls.
