Great excursion when you... - Great excursion when you first arrive to Ponta Delgado. It’s perfect timing if you are arriving in the morning and need to fill time before hotel check in. The tour provides an informative guide around the center and a delicious progressive meal at several local restaurants.

Book this tour!! I’ve done several food tours in the US and Ireland. This is wonderful! - Amazing food and history tour!! Marcos was engaging and funny and brought us to sample so many incredible dishes. We booked this on our second full day in São Miguel, which was perfect! He actually gave us a bunch of ideas of little things to do in Ponta Delgada and restaurants not to miss. We enjoyed it so much, we actually went back the next day for Hungry Whales wine tour (which was exactly the way to spend a rainy day!).

Fantastic way to start our week on Sao Miguel! - Hungry Whales, especially our guide Marco, gave us an amazing introduction to the Azores and Ponta Delgada! We did this tour a few hours after landing on the island from our overnight flight. We were tired and hungry and Marco treated us right! This was more food than we expected, and all delicious. Highly recommend!

See the city thru food. So good. - This was an excellent well-planned and executed tour of foods and restaurants to sample in Ponta Delgado. From breakfast to lunch with stops at the farmers markets and others. My wife and I enjoyed every stop. It’s a small group with excellent tour guides to discuss the city, history, culture and especially its foods. Five stars all the way if you want to sample the pleasures of the city’s foods.

Great Private Food Tour - We booked a private tour for four. Our guide was Marco who did a wonderful job guiding us through different spots in the city, not all food related. We visited a cafe for a lite breakfast, the farmers market where we sampled local pineapple, the cheese shop, a sampling of delicious cheese, sausage and wines at Rootz Azores with a final stop for dessert at a small hotel restaurant. All food and drink was wonderful and we really enjoyed our time with Marco and his two assistants.
