Best way to see the Island! - Mario was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. The Furnas were our favorite. We enjoyed watching the stew being made in the Furnas, then eating it for Lunch! The tea plantation was awesome, too!

Sights and Smells aplenty - Mario was great and the group was small making it a more personal experience. He knew his stuff and that was made more clear but the number of hangers-on we seemed to pick up at each stop as they tried to benefit from his insights and knowledge. It also helped a lot that the itinerary was shuffled around as we seemed to be at the head of every queue and finishing up when things got really busy for those following our lead. I remember the day by the smells though as well (not in a bad way). The first stop was a view of the islet of Vila Franco do Campo with a fresh sea breeze and smell of clean air. We then went to Terra Nostra Park and the smells were of the wonderful gardens and the different sulphur-rich hot springs. (There is an additional charge but it is definitely worth a leisurely visit.) From there we went for lunch, enjoying the tastes and smells of vegetable soup and pineapple with the incredible Furnas stew in between and a steal at €16. There were other stops along they way including Caldeiras, with the varying levels of sulphur smells (and we even tasted the different types of water coming from each spring, some never to be tasted again thankfully). The next big smells came from Gorreana Tea factory, where I enjoyed some green tea despite being a coffee person, and Plantação de Ananás dos Açores, where I enjoyed some pineapple sorbet (additional cost) to finish off a hot and sticky day.

Amazing trip in beautiful surroundings! - Absolutely fabulous from the minute Andreus picked me up to the end of the tour. Stunning lush landscapes and lots of time to explore everything shown. Can't speak highly enough of this tour and amazing knowledgeable guide. Really was the highlight of the trip and I honestly think this island is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Loved the variety and photo opportunities.

an amazing tour - you should definitely book! - I had an amazing time on the tour! Our tour guide, André, was great - he was very knowledgeable and also full of humour. We got to visit lots of locations but also had time to wander round and learn a lot. We also got to visit the pineapple plantation which was amazing! If you are someone who likes to hike and explore for hours maybe not for you, but this is not the fault of the tour as it says the amount of time you spend in each location in the description and enabled us to see more!

Amazing experience! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - Absolutely amazing. Andres was an amazing guide and made our trip very memorable. Very personable, informative, and most importantly kind to every person he came in contact with. Highly recommended and, without a doubt, you should book this after reading this review.

Furnas and fun... - A great day out touring Furnas et al. Relaxing, friendly, fun and informative. The stops during the day are all very different and interesting. André, our tour guide, was excellent, very informative about all the stops and with interesting snippets on the journey between each of them - he is a real find. The tour was well structured and organised, the minibus was comfortable and even with eight it did not feel cramped. The timings both between the stops and at each stops well judged, the choice of lunch restaurant was excellent - would recommend the traditional meal option. Don't forget your trunks ... the pools are fun. Lovely day out.
