The Call of the Dunes

As a professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours riding the waves and exploring the coastlines of Central America. But when I heard about the Buggy Ride through the dunes and beaches of Ponta Negra, I knew I had to experience it for myself. The promise of an adventure through the stunning landscapes of Genipabu and Jacuma was too tempting to resist.

The day began with a warm welcome from our guide, Pardal, whose infectious enthusiasm set the tone for the day. As we climbed into the buggy, the anticipation was palpable. The sun was shining, the ocean breeze was invigorating, and the dunes stretched out before us like a vast playground waiting to be explored.

Our first stop was the breathtaking Dunas de Genipabu. The landscape was unlike anything I’d ever seen, with towering sand dunes that seemed to touch the sky. As we continued our journey along the coast, we stopped at Jacuma Beach for a leisurely lunch. The beach was a picture-perfect paradise, with warm, crystalline waters that beckoned us to take a swim. It was the perfect way to unwind after a morning of adventure, and I savored every moment of it.
