The best day! - I came across this business online and was so excited to take my kids and a few friends during March break. I thought at the very least it would be a nice day outdoors. But wow! The whole experience completely exceeded my expectations. Mike (the owner) was so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable from the second we arrived. He even got some boots for one of the boys who got dropped off and was only wearing sneakers. It was such an immersive experience, we got to feed, pet and interact with so many animals. Mike made us feel very comfortable around the animals, by explaining what to do and not to do around them. He answered all of our questions and told us so much about the farm and the animals. At the end of our tour he invited us in for the fanciest hot chocolates and lattes. Coming to this place feels like visiting family we are already talking about when we can go again! My kids said it was the best day!!!

A must visit! - Humberstone ranch was super fun! Everyone was so welcoming and inviting despite the cold and snow. The animals were adorable, we had a great time and learned a lot! We even got a warm treat after. Love this place!

A Canadian Cowboy Adventure! - We had the most incredible experience at Humberstone Ranch! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were visiting an old friend who couldn’t wait to introduce us to his beloved animals. Mike is the definition of a true Canadian cowboy—warm, welcoming, and incredibly generous with his time. You can tell he takes immense pride in his ranch, and it shows in every detail.
The animals here are not only well cared for but also have the most charming names—Dolly and Reba the cows, Wilbur and Charlotte the pigs—it was like meeting a cast of characters, each with their own distinct personality. Our kids (2 years and 6 months) absolutely adored feeding and petting them, and we were amazed by how gentle and patient the animals were. Even when our baby started crying, the horses remained calm and unbothered—a true testament to their sweet nature.
Beyond the animals, the ranch offers one-of-a-kind activities you won’t find anywhere else in the area. From learning how to lasso to trying out horseback riding, there’s something for everyone. And the attention to detail is incredible—the barns are decorated with stunning artwork created by Mike’s talented 15-year-old, adding a personal and creative touch to the experience.
Whether you’re looking for a fun family outing or a romantic date with a unique ranch tour, Humberstone Ranch is the perfect spot. It’s a place filled with love, passion, and a deep appreciation for animals and nature. We can’t wait to go back!

The best little day trip! - Such a GEM!! We were looking for something to do on a winter day and stumbled across Humberstone Ranch on Groupon. We live in Buffalo so this is only about a short 45 min ride for us. The fact that you can visit a farm - in winter - and interact with the animals is AMAZING! This isn’t just some petting zoo, the owner (nicest man on the planet btw) allows you to feed, brush, enter the enclosure, hold or pet the animals depending on which - and we had so much fun!! There are rabbits, longhorn cows, goats, ducks, geese, horses and these little adorable hairy pigs. I legit got to PICK UP a goat and sit with her on my lap, petting her for so long! The animals are so well taken care of, you can tell they run this ranch with love or animals and wanting to share that experience with others.
💯 going back and spreading the word to everyone - great little day trip for families or couples. Plus between Port Colborne and the US bridge there are so many places to stop and eat - make a day of it!!

Every animal lover/ wannabe rancher dream! - Mike was very kind and welcoming from the very beginning, all the staff were on the ranch. You can tell all the animals on the ranch are very loved and taken care on the ranch. My cousin and I went for some animal therapy and we definitely got it at Humberstone ranch!! We were even able to hold one of their goats! absolutely going back in the warmer weather bringing other friends and family!

Best day ever - Today my daughter, granddaughter and I had a wonderful day visiting Humberstone Ranch and it was an unforgettable experience . From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm hospitality and a true taste of farm life.
The highlight of the visit was being able to interact with the adorable farm animals. The Canada geese were an unexpected pleasure ❤️ The farm itself is beautiful with rolling fields,fresh air and such a peaceful atmosphere. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable explaining about farm life that was educational and fun.
I fully recommend visiting this wonderful ranch.

Fantastic family experience - We decided to surprise our kids with a Winter Farm visit. We found this lovely location via a websearch, and we are so glad we did! When I called to book a time for our visit, Mike was extremely accommodating. We timed it during a beautiful sunny day with heaps of fresh snow. When we arrived at the ranch, Mike welcomed us and directed us where to park. We were in awe of how gorgeous the property is, and how amazingly well cared for all of the animals are. As our kids are fairly young (6 and 3), Mike was extremely patient to explain the safety guidelines at each station and helped our little ones get comfortable with the animals. It was a lot of fun for us grown-ups as well, getting to feed and interact with the amazing animals and to hear their stories/learn new information about their breed that Mike shared with us. Following the tour, we were served some warm drinks (the kids had what they referred to as "the yummiest hot chocolate ever") accompanied by a lovely chat with Mike to get to know more about the ranch and its budding history. Higly recommended if you are in the area to check out this ranch tour!
