Our small unique operation in Port Douglas is the most personal day boat visiting the outer reef taking a maximum of just 12 passengers on board per trip, ensuring you’ll enjoy a very exclusive day. Our trip can take us to several outer reef locations where our very special Great Barrier Reef marine park permit allows us to roam the reefs freely and be away from other tourists and crowded reef locations. Because we have the ability to be able to roam all the reefs off Port Douglas it means we can frequently change our snorkel locations. Amazing small and personal tour - So small and personal. Really amazing. What stands out the most is the fact you have trained and educated marine biologists guiding you through the reef. They’re very attentive to the surroundings and make sure you don’t miss a thing!

Fantastic amazing must do for everyone with the personal touch. - What can we say about ABC Snorkel.
Well here we go absolutely fantastic time we had with Jason and is most knowledgeable crew, they look after you from start to finish on the boat and in the water.
They made it so special with the personal touch which I know that we would not have got it from another charter.
My wife Mary had the most memorable birthday ever, so keep up the good work guys and don’t let the big guys run you off the reef.

Spectacular! - This was the best day of our Australian trip from the states! Sam, Paula and Jason were absolutely incredible. Sam and Paula are both marine biologists who taught us so much about the reef and showed us things we never would have seen on a larger boat. Jason was a great skipper. The lunch was fantastic as well. Thank you!

ABC Snorkel - Amazing!! - We had a spectacular day on the outer reef with ABC Snorkel Charter. Paula was so patient and caring with our daughter, who started a little nervous, but ended up having the best day ever thanks to her!! The water, coral, and fish life was incredible and we really appreciated all the info they shared. Having two knowledgeable and passionate marine biologists on board really brought this experience to another level.
We highly recommend this excursion to anyone who wants to see the Great Barrier Reef in a way that honors and protects this magnificent part of our oceans.

Perfect day - I booked with ABC back in 2020 and then COVID arrived! We were fortunate enough to get a refund and I promised myself we’d get back and support a local business. Today was the day and we all had a ball. Relaxed, fun, perfect weather and the most amazing sea life. Thanks to Sam, Paula and Jason 🐠🐡

Wonderful snorkeling and knowledgeable and helpful crew!! - We had a great trip. All the crew was fantastic and we spent a lot of time in the water snorkeling. Paula was especially helpful with our 10 year old. Highly recommend this tour.

Small boat diving. - Great day on the outer reef. Four of us diving and one snorkeler. Both activities really well supported by our crew Jess (dive master) and Paula (marine biologist). With Jason, an experienced captain taking us to some smaller reef sites, we had a very memorable family day.
New kit for the diving and a lovely lunch.

ABC snorkel reef trip - What a fantastic day with ABC snorkel. Paula, Sam and Jason were amazing. Got to see some beautiful sights and their knowledge and enthusiasm was great. Lucky to see dolphins, reef sharks, turtles and loads of coral and beautiful bright fish. Such a great trip, highlight for me. A must do when in Port Douglas.

Great experience - We did a full day private snorkelling tour and had a lot of fun. Shout out to Jason, our skipper, and to Sam and Jess, our guides, who made sure we had a great experience. We saw a lot of amazing sea life, including turtles, giant clams, beautiful fish of all shapes and kinds, a baby ray, and even a pretty rare whale.
I highly recommend the experience with ABC. They are a small boutique company and will take you to places where the large commercial vessels can't get.

Best Great Barrier Reef Snorkeling Experience - I went with Sam, Paula & Jason in a party size of 9. Sam, Paula & Jason are the best guides I could ever ask for my first time experience with snorkeling practices and snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. Given the party size and the small boat size, we were able to venture off to reefs with more shallow depth during low tides. We went to Rudder Reef and was fortunate the weather was sunny with few clouds, giving more than enough visibility to see everything in the reef. The guides were extremely passionate about The Great Barrier Reef and conservation. They were very kind, understanding, and made sure everyone has positive, personalized experience. I learned so much from this magical experience and this single-handedly made this snorkeling experience a once of lifetime. The guides were very expertise in capturing beautiful GoPro videos of clownfish in anemones and a green turtle swimming; the videos were later shared with us. If this is your first time snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, I highly recommend ABC Snorkel Charters so you are well-equipped on how to snorkel and what & where to see specific marine animals.
