Go with Quicksilver to see the Great Barrier Reef! - An amazing day on the Great Barrier Reef with an amazing crew! My husband and I could not wait to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef after hearing about it our whole life. Quicksilver has thought of everything to make every person comfortable from scuba divers to people who want to snorkel and to non-swimmers and families with young children. A special shout out to Flick, the kind and caring employee who made sure each person on our deck on the way out to and back from the pontoon was comfortable and feeling okay. She was available to answer any question you might have or to clarify information that was given to us in a detailed pamphlet. Thanks, Flick! I highly recommend this company for a Great Barrier Reef trip!!

Awesome! - An absolutely fantastic day! The crew and all Quicksilver staff were friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. The snorkelling was a magical experience, you could see so much in the crystal clear water - even a white tipped reef shark! Lots of time on the water and you could get out without the extra hassle and stress of scuba. Our guide John was awesome, very friendly, knowledgeable and great fun. The food served was fresh, delicious and plentiful. Everything was very well organised and ran like clockwork. Iwas quite seasick snd the staff were so kind and helpful - made me feel much better. A special thanks to the young woman (I didn’t catch her name) who was serving hot drinks for all her kindness. 😀

Quicksilver- A great day on the GBR - The main reason for visiting Australia was to see the Great Barrier Reef and we were not disappointed. The day went smoothly from pickup at our caravan park to return there. The briefings on board were very informative as well as amusing. My wife was unable to snorkel and her booked additional tour with the marine biologist was refunded without any problems. Snorkelling was great and the time flew by. In the meantime, my wife took the semi submersible trip and also had a good time. Lunch was a buffet with lots of choice. Thanks to all the staff for making the trip so memorable

Great trip out of port douglas - Awesome day out with the crew. The reef was beautiful, lots for the non swimmers to do to enjoy the reef. I personally did the ocean walker, it was interesting but I thought the platform was pretty short. Not what I was expecting. They get some big fish close to you by feeding them I would've preferred it be a little more natural. Still a great day seeing the reef

Magical Day - Had a fantastic day visiting the Great Barrier Reef with Quicksilver tours. I went snorkelling, looked at the underwater observatory. Also had the opportunity to go on a semi submersible submarine and look for sealife. Also learning about coral 🪸. The food onboard was plentiful and very yummy. Catering for everyone onboard. Plenty of cold water and cordial. Tea and coffee was also available for morning and afternoon tea. With biscuits 😋. The crew were awesome all day. Helping us, answering questions we may have had. So we could all enjoy the tour.

Most amazing day with India! - After a heartwarming meetup India introduced me to diving and the skills which were perfectly explained. She made me feel safe and comfortable every moment. We had 3 dives which were one of the most amazing things I've ever done! We saw so many corals, fish, see cucumber and sharks! Even a rare hammerhead shark! I couldn't believe it! If you are reading this, thank you for this life lasting memorie you create! If you want to dive. Do it here! You won't regret it!

Incredible adventure to the great barrier reef. - This adventure was amazing. The Great Barrier Reef is a true wonder. It’s the kind of experience you want to have at least once in your lifetime. Besides snorkeling, we also went diving, which was an incredible opportunity to see and touch the corals, observe the fish, and experience the underwater world.

Extremely Well Organized, Great Experience - The Quicksilver folks are very well organized. They take about 200 people out to their permanent platform on the outer barrier reef. They’re well organized in getting all those people their Lycra suits, masks, snorkels, fins. The platform has a great way to get people into the water. After getting into your Lycra suit, you go sit on a bench that is already submerged in water, so your legs are submerged. The staff assist you in donning your fins, mask, snorkel and you can then just lean forward and swim off the platform. Very slick. Ample food and beverages were provided for the passengers. The information and safety briefings were all good. There are lifeguards in the water and on the platform watching all the snorkelers. They seemed to have a genuine interest in keeping everyone safe. What about the quality of the snorkeling? After all, that’s what it’s all about, isn’t it? The platform is located near a large outcropping of coral. I’m a very experienced snorkeller, and I found that the further I got from the boat/platform, the better the quality of coral and fish. It was still pretty good on the edges of the coral closest to the boat, but it was exceptional as I got further away. At one point I was gliding along comfortably with 3 feet of water between me and the coral, and one of the staff asked me to move to deeper water. I wasn’t even coming close to touching the coral, so was a bit miffed at that, but nevertheless complied with his request. The trip out and back is 90-120 minutes each way, so this is an all-day excursion. The boat is a big catamaran and relatively stable, but we had relatively calm seas. All in all, I was extremely pleased with the day, as were my 2 friends. I would definitely recommend Quicksilver. We also did a 2nd trip with a smaller outfit (Sailaway) that took about 40-50 people out, and that too was an exceptional experience.
