Highlights
- Daintree River - You will board a cruise along the Daintree River, looking out for all manner of creatures, including the estuarine crocodile, snakes, birds, frogs, and more.
- Mossman Gorge - We arrive at Mossman Gorge, which is the southern part of the Daintree Rainforest. Your guide will take you on a walk and share their knowledge of the local flora and fauna and answer any questions you may have. This is an easy 500m return walk mostly along boardwalks.
You can enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear rainforest stream, which can be quite refreshing, whilst being surrounded by the beautiful and healing Mossman Gorge rainforest. What a great way to spend a morning!

This is a great tour for those who only want to spend a half-day out or are short on time. We visit two areas on this trip, Daintree River and Mossman Gorge.
We begin with a drive along the Captain Cook Highway, on the way to the Daintree River, and share a little history along the way.
Here, we board a cruise along the Daintree River, looking out for local wildlife, including the estuarine crocodile, snakes, birds, frogs, and more.
After the Wildlife Cruise, we enjoy morning tea with Lamingtons and tea/coffee.
Once in Mossman Gorge National Park, we conduct an interpretive walk along an elevated boardwalk. Weather dependent, we can enjoy a dip in the crystal-clear rainforest stream, whilst being surrounded by the beautiful and healing Mossman Gorge rainforest.

Great tour guide - so recommend this one with Matthew. - Such a great trip. Matthew our tour guide was great. Mat has really good knowledge of the area, history, flora and fauna. He is also a great storyteller and made the experience really fun. Would recommend this tour - much better having a tour guide who can tell you so much about the area rather than just going it alone. We saw 5 crocodiles and had an amazing swim at Mossman gorge. So good!

Wonderful experience and fantastic tour guide - Our family loved this tour! It was great getting picked up from our hotel. Mel was a very friendly, knowledgeable and fun tour guide. The river cruise was beautiful and we saw a few crocodiles! The rainforest and mossman gorge was spectacular. Highly Recommend.

Definitely Recommend - I had a great tour going to Mossman Gorge with the welcome to country experience, the daintree river cruise, the barramundi and tropical orchard tasting. Daintree Discovery tours from booking to the actual experience were awesome to work with. I came all the way from America, so I was really unfamiliar to the area. Everything was seamless and our guide (Mel) was incredible. I would highly recommend any of the tours this group offers. Im sure there all awesome!

Mel and Discovery Tours - In spite of the rain, Mel made sure we had a fabulous tour. She was fun and very personable and knowledgeable! She was interested in each of us, a friend to all. 3 only saw 2 Crocs, but partly due to the wrong time of year. We saw lots of interesting birds and learned about the swamp. Mel took us to Mossman Gorge, and we saw an incredible rainforest and wild Mossman River, which Mel told us about and took pictures of us. I would highly recommend Mel and Discovery Tours.

Fun and memorable experience - Seeing the crocodiles was memorable. Even though it was a very rainy day, our driver Mel made the experience interesting and fun. Great half day trip, definitely worth doing. My grandson thought it was a terrific adventure.

Delightful morning. - Our driver/guide, Pear, was friendly and knowledgeable. Be aware that drinks (coffee or tea) are not allowed in the bus. We saw crocs on the river. The walk in the Mossman Gorge was beautiful. Strongly recommend this.

Enjoyable experience overall. - The experience was enhanced by a very good knowledgeable tour guide. Scenery was great with good explanations. We were dissapointed with the Tea, Coffee and accompliment.
