Highlights
  • Silversonic Dive & Snorkel - Your day begins with pickup from your Port Douglas hotel. The fastest ride out to the reef from Port Douglas, the ultra modern 29 meter catamaran will be your base for the day. Throughout the day you’ll visit three locations on Agincourt Reef, each showcasing a different aspect of the beautiful Great Barrier Reef. The cruise has exclusive access to 22 premier internationally recognised reef sites and you have the choice to snorkel, dive or a combination of both.

The friendly crew will be happy to answer any questions you have throughout the day. The boat features full bar facilities, fresh water showers and expansive sundecks overlooking the Coral Sea. A tropical buffet lunch will be served between sites, along with morning and afternoon tea.

  • Agincourt Reef - Agincourt Reef sits at the very edge of the Great Barrier Reef, a ribbon reef running parallel to the Continental Shelf. There is a multitude of marine life at Agincourt Reef, from tiny iridescent fish seeking shelter in their coral homes to massive giant clams weighing up to 200 kilograms (440 pounds).
  • Great Barrier Reef - If you have never tried scuba diving you can choose to do one or two introductory dives, or you may prefer to stick to snorkeling and explore all three sites from the surface. A crew member will take those interested on a guided snorkel tour at one of the reef locations. Certified divers can choose to partake in up to three certified dives. Whatever you choose, your Outer Great Barrier Reef Dive and Snorkel Cruise includes up to five hours in the water.

Best dive outfit in Port Douglas! - A million thanks to dive masters Jonathan and Faye, who patiently guided me past my nervousness ( I hadn't dived in more than a decade) and ensured I enjoyed multiple dives for the trip of a lifetime. Their caring expertise and hard work was remarkable and so very much appreciated by myself and other drivers of varying ages who signed up for introductory dives as a refresher. The whole staff (especially Jonathan, Faye and Ava) were warm, friendly, engaging and safety conscious. The food was excellent too! Truly unforgettable experience.!

Perfect- a must do! - Amazing! Just a spectacular tour with some of the nicest staff that I have met whilst honeymooning in Oz! The locations for the snorkelling were breathtaking and with such great information from the staff about the marine life and the stuff you see! I would highly recommend this tour just to experience the boat journey out to the reef, a must-do if you're in Port Douglas, will not disappoint.

5 stars for the staff, 1 star experience - The staff was awesome. The food is good. The boat was great, all covered so no sun issue. Bring extra towels for getting cold indoors. However 1 star to the rest of it. snorkeling is not worth using an 8 hour day unless you want to say you did it. A lot of people were vomiting on our July snorkel. It was a mess. I wouldn’t recommend going to the reef in the winter, and honestly wish they had cancelled it given how rough the water is. Take the medicine!!! People who don’t normally get sea sick were vomiting all over the place. A bit of a laughable experience.

Amazing crew looking after us - It was a rough ride out there. I've been before and it's usually much easier, it was still great once we got there though. The staff were great in looking after us, bringing ice and wet towels for the necks of those not feeling great. They really knew how to help those feeling a bit sea-sick. Once we got to the reef though, the snorkelling was great and my stomach settled enough for lunch which was an excellent spread.

You have to experience it to see what you would miss - Quicksilver were brilliant... kept us well informed, comfortable boat with heaps of room, nice lunch, snacks always available, helpful friendly instructors... would definitely recommend this tour company However I found the Great Barrier Reef a bit underwhelming... certainly no better than many other sites around the Pacific. Not that many fish and alot of dead coral (with some regenerating)... It must have been good in the 'old days'... But you have to experience it to see what you would miss🤣
