This tour is perfect if you’re seeking a genuine understanding of Malaysia’s food culture. It’s not the typical Malaysian food tour; rather, it delves into the real food locals eat each morning (and all day long). Starting your day in Kuala Lumpur with the most significant meal of the day - breakfast - couldn’t be better.
- Dietary Requirements: This tour contains a lot of pork based dishes with no substitutes
- Food Safety: We take food safety very seriously and all the places that we eat at we believe are of an acceptable standard and cleanliness to take guests to, but it is impossible to 100% rule out any risk of food poisoning. Our food safety record is very good and we have found it more likely a customer will get sick from food prior to our tour than during it.
- Changes to Itinerary: The food stops we eat at may vary from day to day depending on what’s open.
- If it rains we have more fun: We run the tour throughout the year and have never had to cancel a tour due to rain. If it rains we have ponchos and umbrellas. You may get a little wet but if you bring a positive attitude you may discover it is even more memorable
- Is the tour suitable for children? There is no minimum age for this tour. This is a breakfast tour and most of the dishes are not spicy so can be eaten by children. However, we acknowledge some children are more adventurous eaters than others so we expect the parents to make the judgement as to whether a food tour is suitable. For families with small children we encourage a private version so we can adapt
- Dietary Requirements: This is a food tour and not suitable for vegetarians or people with specific dietary requirements. Many dishes are pork based. While we always do our best to accommodate, many of the stops are based around single dishes where there is not always a suitable substitute. Many of the dishes are pork based and the selected shops have no alternative options. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the same experience for people with dietary requirements
