- Batu Caves - First, visit the Batu Caves Hindu Temple. Admire the magnificent golden statue of Lord Murugan before climbing up to the high cavern housing a Hindu shrine with various colorful statues. (The driver/guide will decide whether to visit Batu Caves or Kuala Lumpur city center first, depending on the day’s traffic and cruise arrival schedule).
Visit Batu Caves, a site visited by thousands of pilgrims and tourists every year. Before climbing nearly 300 stairs to reach the Hindu Temple inside, you’ll see the giant Lord Murugan statue, standing over 40 meters tall.
Batu Caves is a limestone hill with a series of caves and cave temples in Gombak, Selangor. The limestone forming Batu Caves is estimated to be around 400 million years old. Some cave entrances were used as shelters by the indigenous Temuan people (a tribe of Orang Asli).
