Great way to see KL - Fantastic way to see KL. We were.picked up at cruise terminal and spent the day touring KL. Started with Batu Caves and walked up the 272 steps to the temple. Visited a batik store with demonstrations of the process included. The visit to the pewter factory was excellent and informative with the history and artefacts. Lunch was included and we had a choice so went to a market place with many food choices. Our guide helped explain the options and made our purchase. We then went for a walk to the confluence of the 2 rivers where KL was founded and the area of British settlement. The final stop was to view Petronis towers and get some pictures. Thank you Reuben for making our day. Reuben was well informed, made the trip comfortable and memorable. The only criticism is the car was on the small side for a 4 person tour.

Great Tour Guide - INDRAN was a fantastic driver and guide. His local and historical knowledge was very interesting! Appreciative of the British ancestry and how influential the British were in founding the country. Loved it! The only thug we didn’t really enjoy was lunch…. A local cafe, food not great. Jelly belly’s next day 🥴

great value great tour - great driver/guide found us (4) where the shuttles from the ship dropped us off, after he went to the regular pick up point. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have had the tour. Thank you Raj!!!!! Gave us plenty of time at stops for pics, great lunch at a local place. Great value for price!! Definately go with Viator again!! And to the lady on the phone, thank you for not getting mad when I couldn't hear you for all the noise and being so polite!!!!!!

Great tour, highly recommend - This tour consisted of 3 couples and our delightful guide/driver, Mr Khairy. Following instructions he asked what time we had to be back. He made suggestions of what we could see and always confirmed if that would good. I was surprised how much traffic there was, all the tolls, and the distance to Kuala Lumpur. As we approached the city- there were so many skyscrapers - even more than I've seen in Chicago or NY, stunning. We stopped for a tour of a pewter factory that was fascinating, and a batik factory with incredible artists. The Batu Caves is a must see even though it has become very commercialized. I've never seen so many pigeons in one place before and monkeys galore. This was followed by a lovely lunch in a small local restaurant with local food - delicious, a couple photo stops and a market. It was a full day well spent.

Super great trip - A really lovely day trip with our guide. We learned a lot about Kuala Lumpur and saw a lot. The highlights were the Batu Caves and the local lunch.

Great trip for Kuala lumpur - Matha and co-captain picked us up at the port. It’s important since this trip is advertised for cruise ship passengers to know which port you are docking at and verify. We enjoyed our day and did almost everything we expected to do. They stayed with us until the shuttle bus left to go back to the ship which was very nice. K.L is far and the caves even further with lots of traffic. important for cruise ship passenger’s to know: Know which port your ship is going to and verify last minute. We ended up at the cargo port and couldn’t get out and our guide wasn’t allowed in. Took over an hour to get permission to stop at the port security gate and drop us off. K.L is about an hour from the port and there is traffic. The Batu caves are even further so you get pretty far away from the ship.

More sightseeing tours - This was given as a 2nd option since I 1st one booked was cancelled by tour operator at the last minute otherwise they requested for additional $120 charge. I believed the pewter factor tour was unnecessary and should not be included in the tour. We looked for sightseeing tour and missed the observation deck of the twin towers.

Disappointed - Our day started well, as we were met from the first shuttle bus, at the port gate by Fauzi, our driver and guide for the day, who was holding a very clear sign displaying my name. We were quickly on our way to Kuala Lumpur, in his clean, comfortable air conditioned car. Fauzi talked and clearly explained many aspects throughout the day about the city, the country and the way of life for residents in Malaysia. We learned a lot. He was very good and interesting. Although the traffic was busy, we were able to see the King’s Palace, Batu Caves and visit a batik factory in the morning. It was lunchtime when the problem began. The Chinese restaurant booked by the company were not willing to serve on arrival just the two of us on one of their circular tables, as it was set up ready for sharing plates on tables for ten. We needed to wait at least for the next group of five to arrive. We waited at least 20 minutes and then the seven of us all sat together on a table for ten. We did not receive any communication or service at all from anyone in the restaurant. Time ticked by and it was obvious we were not going to be served and so after 45 minutes with no food, the group of seven of us decided to leave. The two drivers were not able to resolve the situation with the restaurant , although our drivers did then book another restaurant. Having been there without any food, none of us wanted to waste any more time, as we only had a few hours in port and there were sights we still wanted to visit in Kuala Lumpur. Fauzi explained that this restaurant had not been used by the company for a long time and of course, this was very unfortunate for us. We feel that we paid far too much money for the Viator trip, particularly when we didn’t receive a lunch. We have been satisfied with previous bookings but will need to think carefully about booking any future trips. Certainly, our driver was not to blame for the restaurant booking. He was not happy with the restaurant situation. We look forward to hearing from you about this matter.

Tour not as advertised ,disappointed - I booked this trip as it had good reviews but it started badly and never really recovered Four of us had one tour booked starting at 09:00 and it turned out that 4 had a different titled tour starting at 08:00 .. consequently when my friend and I turned up at 08:40 the driver was grumbling and saying that he’d been waiting ages. We didn’t have a commentary. More of a taxi ride followed by being pointed towards building and told when to come back We arrived at the Batu caves after about an hour and an half drive - traffic was bad. We were then told we had 20 minutes and could only take photos outside. ( presumably because we left 40 minutes later than the driver expected) . Everyone was disappointed. We then went to a Batic factory which I found interesting and then the Royal Selangor pewter factory which I also thought was great ( others on the tour were still unhappy about not going into the caves ) We then went to lunch .. after going around the block 3 times trying to park the driver stopped and pointed us in the direction of a grubby looking restaurant with rows of Formica topped tables. Eventually we were offered chicken or beef and rice and a bottle of water . Served on plates not banana leaves as advertised. We had to ask for cutlery and find napkins . Afterwards we had to message our driver to pick us up- think he’d been driving around waiting As we wanted to be back on the ship for 4pm the driver said he would drive us around the city for 30 minutes before returning us to the ship. We asked to go to the Petronas towers which , together with the caves was the main highlights of this particular tour. he rather begrudgingly did this We arrived back at about 3:30 pm So to summarise- - I enjoyed seeing the outside of the caves but would have preferred to have gone in - the Batik factory was lovely as was the pewter factory. - lunch was abysmal - the Petronas towers were good to see .. even if just for 20 mins

Take a cab instead of the tour - Very disappointed. We were communicating with appeared to be two different people for the pick up point. There was no one holding a sign with our names or that they were with the tour company. We waited for about 20 minutes in front of the cruise terminal where many other tour operators had signs but none were ours. We asked the taxi operator if he could call the phone number we had and he did. The guy was just existing the cruise port. He got him to turn around and even then we had no idea where he was. He called the taxi guy that called him and the taxi guy showed him where we were standing. Next he didn’t speak English and told us nothing about the city or the places we were going to, he just dropped us off at the gates or in the middle of the street and gave us a time to meet him back there. We could have done without the lunch as there were no clean facilities to wash your hands, they rinsed off the banana leaves in their no so clean water after each use. The places we saw were great but if that’s all we wanted we could have taken a cab for much less.
