The journey begins at the historic Inn at Clarks, established in the early 1900s, making it convenient for night trips or extended overnight stays at The Inn at Clarks.

The first wildlife encounter might be right at the marina with their own security patrol - a small American Alligator! Don’t worry, it won’t eat… much. Be sure to have cameras and phones ready.

The route then crosses the Intercoastal Waterway, a navigable channel approximately 12-15 ft deep - but the best is yet to come.

After crossing the ICW, the path leads south through “the Fisherman’s Cut,” which opens into the renowned BarRoom Bay of Port O’Connor, Texas. Here, there’s an opportunity to spot Stone Crab, Blue Crab, Stingrays, Flounder, various drum species, and perhaps even the inquisitive Herring.
