Long trip but worth it! - It is a long trip but well worth the day spent. The guide that was included was very pushy and wanted to rush us along and to finish early at the end of the trip. I would suggest you find a ride outside your hotel impromptu, haggle and set a price at do the trip by yourself. Research using a book or website would make the trip enjoyable.

So much colour and so few people visiting! - These two sites tend not to be part of the 'Nile cruise package' being north of Luxor. However, a day trip from Luxor once you leave/or before you board your cruise boat is highly recommended. There is so much colour remaining on the walls and ceilings which is not the case on most of the other temples one visits and the exquisite detail and quality of the relief carving at Abydos is quite mind blowing - despite the best efforts of the early Copts to deface the monument. As so few people make it here you will have the sites almost to yourself - and after Karnak this will be an enormous treat. Do make the effort!!

Excellent tour - Absolutely recommendable. The best option to organize tours in Luxor. Mr. Nader Elias will help you with kindness, honesty and professionalism. Fair and serious price. He conveys trust and humanity. Thanks a lot!

We booked this tour at the very last... -
We booked this tour at the very last minute and crammed it into our already crammed schedule. It turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences during our trip. Abydos and Dendera are both well preserved, with amazing colours. They are also a lot less crowded than some of the other temples, meaning you actually get to soak up the atmosphere. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to have a genuine interest in the temples hands down the best guide we had out of the four tours we did in Egypt. Much recommended.

This tour to dendera and abydos was... -
This tour to dendera and abydos was fantastic. The guide was amazing and answered any and all questions we had. We were practically the only people there. Lunch was great but after eating the waiter brought tapioca pudding and of course we ate it but apparently it wasn't included. That was irritating.
