The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Located in Cairo, the Egyptian Museum boasts an extensive collection of artifacts, mummies, coffins, stones, ancient belongings, and even food items that were traditionally buried with kings for use in the afterlife. According to ancient Egyptian beliefs and religion, the deceased were buried with their possessions, as it was thought they would need their clothes and food in the Afterlife. Conclude the tour with a stroll down Egypt’s oldest street, Khan el-Khalili, an open-air museum where visitors can purchase gifts and admire historic buildings. The tour ends with a transfer back to your location in Port Said.
