Fun Family Day - Great day out for the family. Friendly tour guide. Blue Lagoon is beautiful. Lots of fish & the underwater post office to see at Hideaway Island. You can hire snorkelling gear at Hideaway.

Great day trip experience - We had an amazing day with family and friends. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and excitement. From the beautiful reef experience which was amazing for our first time to the bbq lunch that was cooked fresh and the cocktails that we drank. Great day out and pricing was good. Bang for you buck. Shout out to Stella and all the staff that made our day such a beautiful and memorable experience. Highly recommended.

Very Enjoyable tour - We enjoyed all the places we visited. Getting to see turtles so close up was a highlight. Our tour guide William was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information about the life and culture of Vanuatu and Port Vila. The snorkeling at hideaway was a bit hard to see as the water on top was murky but clearer if you could dive down.

What an experience - We were absolutely stunned ... it is off peak here, so it was just us 2, and wow, what an awesome experience. What a great way to see the island and hear about the culture and learn about tradition .... the whole day was fun, full of laughter and joy 😊

Compact yet relaxing - Our experience was great, our tour guide very informative and it was great to have a simple yet tasty lunch included, would definitely recommend.

Clarifying mixed reviews - Had some scepticism about this trip based on other reviews but here’s my honest assessment of what we found. Pickup - was asked to meet at cruise port between 8.30-9.00 - our group of 10 were on the way by 8.45 Minibus/Potholes - everything seems to be minivan here and there are potholes galore but our driver somehow seemed to navigate through them Tour Guide - Sharon was fun and engaging throughout the trip bovine us interesting facts about the island Hideaway Island - we had 2 hours here, longer than expected. You need water shoes as there are stones and small crabs to negotiate your way through. Nice little visit, snorkelling was fine, take your own as there is a cost to hire. Underwater post office is quirky and a little rusty now but they never look like the doctored photos Turtles - we stopped at the turtle stop for about 1.5 hours. BBQ was basic but again it’s not a cruise ship, just keep you going food. There was an opportunity to swim with 6 or so large turtles, 3 junior turtles and you could hold one of the 2 week old babies. There were also some iguanas and a parrot to see. Blue Lagoon - had about a hour here and it’s a great spot for a dip and some jumping and swinging into a lagoon. Thankfully the health and safety police have not got to Vanuatu yet so you could claim a tree and somersault into the lagoon if you wanted! Duty Free & Market - they bring you here on way back to ship. Duty free is good value and varied if you want that sort of stuff. The market is full of usual souvenirs and clothing, I think they do this to support the economy. You can’t pay by card at the market but some vendors take ASD and USD. Overall I’d say it was good value, very happy we did it and enjoyed it. We had no issues with Hope Vila Tours, they communicated well before and during the tour and did what they said they’d do. Was it the best excursion we’ve ever done? No. However would recommend and when we returned to ship at around 16.30 after 8 hours and all the stops we made I think it’s great value and you can do stuff they don’t sell on the cruise ship.

Very rushed - The experiences were great - Hideaway Island is amazing - however would have been nice to have known about the underwater letterbox and not just stumble on it whilst snorkeling! Further the van was too packed and was very uncomfortable. Maybe 2 less people would have made it more pleasureable. We were constantly running late as trying to get everyone back on time was proving difficult. Half of the van had an idea what they wanted to do and as they were the majority the other 2 groups were left rushing around because the majority were ALWAYS late getting back to the van. Our guide was knowledgeable and did very well answering the questions people had. Overall an enjoyable experience but could have been better

Vanuatu Site Seeing - Great experience, loved Blue Lagoon and Hideaway Island, turtle sanctuary needed to be controlled more and turtles given a nicer environment, away from people touching them and picking up the baby turtles!

Not worth the money paid - We didn’t receive water or snacks and lunch wasn’t that great. We should have been told that the beach at hideaway island was all bits of coral. The blue lagoon was nice but we weren’t there very long. We were told we would be going to the markets but we didnt. The turtles were good
